This is my third pregnancy—and for the first time, I’m baring the bump.
Gone are the floaty smock dresses, the carefully constructed layers, and the almighty effort it takes to downplay the most incredible thing my body has ever done. Instead, I’m leaning into under-bump styles, fitted silhouettes, and yes—even crop tops. I never imagined I’d be that pregnant woman, who confidently showcased her belly, although I'd always wanted to be. But here I am, and truthfully? I’ve never felt better.
There’s something beautifully empowering about showing up fully in your pregnant body—especially when, for so long, we’ve been subtly (and not-so-subtly) encouraged to keep it under wraps. I am of the belief that the bump, this beautiful, big and bold bump should be celebrated—even if not everybody agrees (just know I am eye rolling at the thought of these people)
And this time, I’m doing things differently. Maybe it’s because this is my final pregnancy, and I know I won’t have this experience again. It’s made me want to honour my body rather than conceal it. After all, this is the last time I’ll feel those little kicks from within, the last time I’ll carry this shape. Why wouldn’t I embrace it in all its rounded glory?

I feel more confident in my pregnant form than I often do in my everyday body, and it’s a confidence born of perspective, gratitude, and no longer needing anyone’s permission to take up space.
So I’ll wear the bump, proudly and unapologetically, I mean at this point there really is no hiding it even if I wanted to. I’ll dress it in clothes that make me feel good—not just comfortable, but powerful. Because this may be my last time in this extraordinary season of life, and I plan to enjoy every moment of it and urge you to do the same, however that looks for you.
