Hello HELLO! Wow I've been quiet over on here lately, apologies for that but you know, life happens! I've really had to learn the art of prioritising and learn that it's ~okay~ not to be able to do everything... It's a work in progress, let me tell you.
I thought this would be a nice time to talk you through the latest Saturday By Megan Ellaby collection that launched a week or so ago. I'm so proud of this collection, as I am every collection, but particularly this one as it's been over a year in the works with many-a-set-back, what with Covid, Brexit, HGV drivers etc etc. Launching later than we originally planned, but just in time for Christmas (thank goodness for that!)
We're still a two woman team and this year has probably been the most difficult year yet as the world that we once knew has changed so much and I've also thrown a tiny human into the mix too... So yeah, proud, proud, very proud of us for doing what we've done with Saturday this year, it's been a HUGE learning curve.
But anyway, enough about that, perhaps I'll talk more about that in a future blog post, but for now, let's get stuck in to this very fabulous new collection from my little brand baby.
First up we have our Harry knitted vest and one of the pieces I've been wearing the most since it came into my life! I designed this in a number of colour combinations back in lockdown, before I was ever pregnant... That feels like a lifetime ago! We went back and forth on the colour combo but I'm thrilled with the palette we settled on. It's a really versatile piece that can be layered over any one of our high neck tops, our Margot collared polo tops, T-Shirts and jumpers, it's the kind of colour combo that just get's it, it understands the assignment of being a key player in our wardrobe, to love and to wear in many different ways.
With a sprinkling of lurex running throughout the grey knit, it has a nod to the festivities, but also works incredibly well when dressed down, working to add a touch of magic to every look you pair it with. We love a good checkerboard design here at Saturday, what with our sell out Tyler high neck tops, so it felt only natural to incorporate the print into a piece of knitwear too.
Featuring our signature embroidered clam to the back neck of the vest of course.
Our Mercury is back! After the success of our OG pink & navy number I was desperate to update The Mercury and bring a new colour-way into the world. In steps our fluoro and camel beauty and I am completely obsessed. We updated the thickness ever so slightly to bring a merino x jacquard mix which works so well when combined with our harlequin print. Rock it with jeans, trousers & skirts, under or over dresses, the possibilities, as with most of our designs, are endless.
Now for our first ever tracksuit that I have been rocking non stop!!! It's truly a belter that will be your winter bestie I can assure you. Our Smiley Tracksuit is oh so cosy and comfy and is one of those looks you simply need for travelling, relaxing and for staying super cosy all winter long. Style them together with trainers, separately with jeans or throw on a blazer and a boot for a super cool look. This is a no brainer if you're looking for the perfect Christmas present this year.
Our high neck tops are a firm fave amongst you all and it honestly makes me so so chuffed that you love them as much as I do. Designed to be worn alone or layered up, they act as a second skin and I can't tell you the joy it brings me when I see how you style them up, thanks for all the inspiration honey pies.
We brought a few new designs into our popular high neck tops and this beauty is our Taylor. Featuring a pale yellow and red wave print with a dusting of our Saturday clam magic running throughout. Layer her up with our Harry or Flora vest tops for the ultimate in cosy Saturday styling.
Speaking of our Flora knit, here is, our Flora knit!
Another knitted vest to add to the family and inspired by our double sell out super Flora high neck top, I'm SO excited to pair these two together for double the flower power fun.
Flora is made from a fine wool blend and features intarsia flowers doodled by yours truly. She's a loose fit up top, however, features a high waisted ribbed waist band which makes for ample styling opportunities whether you choose to tuck her in or wear her loose.
Similarly to our Harry Knit she's a versatile little thing and works with sooo many of our other Saturday tops.
We all know how much I love pink & red together, and through Saturday By Megan Ellaby I've learnt how much YOU all love pink & red too.
In steps our Georgia 100% cotton knit, our first oversized knit and our first vegan baby.
You asked for a vegan piece of knitwear and we delivered with Georgia, our pink & red checkerboard beauty with our Saturday clam embroidery to the breast.
She's designed to be oversized and worn casually, however as you can see from the website imagery, she packs a punch when styled up too.
Similarly to the majority of this collection I've been wearing Georgia a lot, in fact, it's very rare that I'm not wearing her, she's certainly one of my fave designs ever and I'm excited to conjure up some more 100% cotton knit magic in seasons to come.

Another slice of high neck magic with our Mickey high neck top, another ode to the 1970s with the psychedelic wave print, this time featuring a warm palette of orange, yellow, sand, black and blue, the most beautiful combo!
Rock her alone or layer her up, Mickey is certainly one for you seventies lovers out there.
We have a scarf!!!! This is so exciting!
And I'm thrilled to say this is made from recycled materials, something we've been looking into a lot over the last two years, and something we hope to work with a lot more going forward.
Our Ultimate Scarf is like a big ole hug, it's the perfect blanket size to really wrap around yourself for a snuggly winter look. I am OBSESSED with the colour combination we went for here as pink & green is up there with one of my fave colour ways ever! Throw in some black and it's perfect for adding a touch of Saturday sparkle to your big black coat.
It features our super cute Saturday clam in an uber cool label form and matches perfectly with our recycled pink beanie hat too...

The third and final high neck top to our AW21 drop is our Frankie.
Frankie features THE COOLEST red & blue star, checkerboard design and I think it's my fave high neck print ever... I think. I do have a favourite every single season but I'm pretty sure this is my fave design ever ever ever...
Like all of our high necks they're designed to be a second skin so size up if you like things a little bit looser.
Shop our Frankie here.
And now for our Winona, the same fit as our high neck tops however this time with a crew neck AND THUMBHOLES!!!!
I am completely obsessed with this shape and from the sales, I can tell that you guys are too, I think Winona might be a signature shape of ours going forward, hello new prints! I'm excited to delve into designing some new prints for this new shape, do let me know if there's anything you'd like to see.
And last but no means least we have our Ultimate Beanie hat in pink! The second recycled piece in our collection and the perfect pairing with our matching scarf.
I worked really hard to perfect the shape of this beanie and I personally believe it's the PERFECT fit. It's snug on the head with the perfect amount of slouch and height to the rest of the hat. I think you're going to love it.
Both the hat and the scarf will make the DREAMIEST of stocking fillers if you're looking to treat someone you love this Christmas.
I thought I'd also use this opportunity to share the Saturday drop before the AW21 collection went live. I don't know what happened other than attempting to be the worlds best/worst juggler and I completely missed out on sharing this collection properly with you, sorry about that!
So here we go, first up we have our Cara knitted polo top in blue, black and dusky pink. Combining stripes and animal print to create the ultimate print clash, she's such a cutie and looks unreal when paired with jeans or black trousers IMO.
Perfect for transitioning from winter to spring, you can take Cara through all the seasons with you.
The latest in our Ultimate Saturday Slogan knit is here and this time in the most gorgeous lilac and green combination.
This is the third colour combination we've brought out in this Saturday favourite and I truly, truly love it. It's, again, one of those pieces that will go through from season to season with you. I love our ultimate knits as they're such easy, throw on and go items that don't take loads of styling to create an impact, the Ultimate knit does the talking for you.

Now for our Lennie co-ord and another Saturday piece (or two) that I can't get enough of wearing. The trousers are beyond flattering and insanely comfortable that I find myself reaching for them time and time again. They're versatile enough to dress up and dress down and we even made it easy for you with the matching T-Shirt too, you're welcome.
Featuring the softest cotton, a knitted trim to the collar and cuffs that matches the trim of the trousers too and OF COURSE featuring our super cute Saturday clam embroidery.
Our Saturday fave knitted leopard print vest, our Alexa!
Featuring the most beautiful leopard print intarsia, V neck and green & pink palette it's such a damn beauty! A piece that truly brightens my mood whenever I wear it.
Perfect for layering or wearing alone when things get a little warmer, Alexa is the perfect piece for any colour lovers out there.
Our original long sleeved Suki Rugby Shirt is very almost sold out so we thought it would be nice to launch a sleeveless version too, which means that you can layer it to your hearts content. This time in a pink and red ombre, 'cause we all love that combination so much.
Suki is the perfect length for wearing casually with jeans or tucking in for a slightly smarter look.
Our original Joni fitted T-Shirt sold out long ago but I wasn't ready to say farewell to that print so here we have our Joni co-ord, featuring our classic high neck top and with a pair of high waisted leggings to match.
This is one of my absolute favourite Saturday looks and I just love seeing you all styling them together and also separately too.
It's a bold look but one that is SO totally awesome and I just love rocking them together.
And finally our Chloe mixed print V neck jumper, a piece I wear at least once a week.
I adore this merino wool beauty as it's just SO damn fun! Featuring a really gorgeous and somewhat unexpected colour combination of lilac, red and lemon, and of course clashing Saturday faves, stripes & leopard print!
This is such a show stopper of a piece in my opinion and I'm just so damn proud of how this one turned out.
Merry Christmas & Love you lots
