Hello hello, it's been a right ole couple of weeks hasn't it!
I didn't mean to take the last couple of weeks away from my blog, it just sort of happened through focusing on other areas of my work and also let's be real here, I've not really had a whole lot to chat about because, well, not an awful lot is going on right now is there!?
A combination of the two points above and also having a building site for a house over the last month has left me rather uninspired in the whole blog topic department so I thought rather than forcing it I'd just ride it out... A first for me I must admit.
I quite fancied chatting today, so HELLO! I hope you're doing well and adapting, once again, to lockdown life. We've SO got this this time around, we're pro's at staying home and protecting the NHS and our most vulnerable, we've SO totally got this! I for one am loving having George back at home as he's been so busy with work lately with all the constant changes in regulations around the hospitality industry, it really has been a tough couple of months for him, so it's nice to see him slow down, albeit just a little bit. How are you doing? I hope you're okay and you can see the twinkling lights of Christmas at the end of the tunnel... Speaking of which, have any of you put your tree up yet?
I thought since I've been MIA around here for the last couple of weeks that I'd play catch up with what's been going on around here.
First and foremost baby Raisin (our nick name for the wee bab as she was the size of a raisin when we found out) she's doing good, growing real big, disco dancing regularly and keeping me on my toes when it comes to bathroom breaks... It's been a dreamy second trimester but I must admit trickier than the first for me personally, which I know isn't the way things usually go. I've found my hormones have been a little crazy, the waterworks have come in rather strange ways, a particularly strange one was whilst watching the latest Borat film and I found myself in hysterics at the phrase "Here, have an onion"... Yep, I have no idea why either. I was quite literally cry laughing which then resorted in sobbing uncontrollably... Interesting eh. But, I truly cannot complain, it's been a beautiful ride so far and one I am loving so much. I am so blown away by my body, which I'm sure seems a little bit cliche to some, but truly my mind has been blown with how it's changing in order to accommodate a tiny human, it really is beautiful.
Nesting mode is really, truly here! Which I knew would always happen as I just love making a house a home, but knowing we have a new arrival coming early next year means that the ante has been upped a notch or too.
The kitchen is done! HURRAH!!! It's absolutely breathtaking I must admit and feels like we have a brand new home as well as a brand new kitchen, it's simply transformed the space and our house really is beginning to feel like ours!
We took decorating and renovating real slow this time around and i'm so glad we did as it's meant that the kitchen is a real working kitchen, giving us exactly what we learnt we needed or didn't need with the kitchen that was in when we moved in.
As something I've never done before I really did adore the whole kitchen renovation process from mood-board-ing to designing and then finally the renovating, painting and styling, it's been such a gorgeous process. We've had other smaller changes happen throughout the downstairs of our home which meant it feels like a brand new house again which is so exciting. I'm sure I'll show you some more snaps of the kitchen soon but we're just waiting for our neon to go in, some shelves to be put up and the bar stools to arrive, so if you're keen to take a peek, watch this space. Next stop is the nursery and honestly, I CAN.NOT.WAIT to get cracking.
So that is quite literally all that is happening right now. It's all fun and games at Casa Ellaby-Craig whilst we nest up ready for our little raisin girl<3
With Black Friday, some newness from Saturday By Megan Ellaby (finally) and Christmas coming up fast, it's a very busy time for me which I am completely loving, but as always I would LOVE to hear if there are any topics you'd like to see from me for the final months of 2020 (I truly can not believe i'm saying that, fastest year ever!?)
Take care and sending lots of love and cuddles to you all.

I can’t wait to see how your baby will look like!!you and George are going to be the coolest parents ever!! It would be cool if your kid went into fashion industry or becoming a musician or even both.
Glad to hear little Raisin is getting on well! Very excited to see what you’ve done with the kitchen… I’m currently planning how to do mine now but I’m also trying to live with it as is for a bit to work out what works/doesn’t work! Xx
Hey Megan! It’s super nice to see an update 🥰 You look amazing pregnant! Are you going to do a blog post of your new kitchen? Can’t wait to see it! X
