Good evening all, how are you? How's your week going so far and how was your weekend? I hope it was relaxed and cosy and was the perfect set up for a positive week ahead. Mine was exactly that, or at least it felt that way, I'm not sure how relaxing most people would find cleaning, organising and DIY-ing but I'm really struggling to just sit the F down lately. I've got ants in my pants and am completely restless which as I'm sure you can imagine, George is absolutely loving... Sorry Gee 😇
Nesting mode IS ON(!) seriously I cannot stop. Once one job has been ticked off it's on to the next and the one thing I'm really not enjoying about being pregnant is having to rely on other people so much to get certain jobs done. Not lifting things, not going up ladders etc etc, it's frustrating me a lot I must admit but hey ho, that's just the way it's got to be for the next couple of months I guess.
Instead, I'm the one at the bottom of the ladders barking orders up to George, "left a little, right a little, no higher" which, once again he is absolutely loving...🙃
I did manage to devour a couple of chapters of my current book though and the kitchen is looking really bloody gorgeous and I'm so excited to be able to share the finished outcome with you all, something I know from my Instagram, you're all buzzing about too!
But anyhoo, today's blogpost is about outerwear, collaborations and the beautiful shade of baby blue, a colour I am totally, totally digging right now.

I don't know whether it's being pregnant but I really cannot get enough of the colour baby blue right now. Whether it's baby blue in its truest form or a subtle almost white blue or even more of a dusty blue, I really am digging the shade for both fashion and for interior styling.
We're actually thinking that a form of blue will be used in our little girls bedroom, if only I could decide on the perfect shade...
So to kick things off let's talk about my little blue beret, a piece that has been firmly attached to my head throughout the winter so far, mainly because I've become much too lazy to actually do my hair in a morning, so a hat is a great option for me right now. I'm particularly fond of a hat that means I can say farewell, albeit temporarily, to my fringe, which I find the beret does wonderfully.
My sister has been RAVING about finding much more affordable berets in all of the colours of the rainbow and I finally listened to her and got involved, ordering all of my fave colours in my fave shape of hat and I am SO impressed! Whilst they're a little thinner than the black one I've been rocking from Monki for the last few years, they're really bloody fab and it's nice to have a wardrobe of berets to sport depending on my mood and my outfit, I would definitely recommend!

And now for the shining star of the baby blue crew, it's the coat... AHHH THE COAT!
The latest addition to my coat-drobe and one that I am completely and utterly in love with. It's part of an incredible collaboration between GANT and Luke Edward Hall, an artist I've been utterly obsessed with over the last couple of years. It's a collaboration I've been waiting for, for months and months and was SO excited and thrilled to see how much I loved it. Piece after piece after piece was simply perfect, but I do think that this coat is my showstopper of the collection I must admit.
It's the colour combination of dusty blue and chocolate brown, the check print being the perfect size to clash with other prints such as leopard print, as I've done with this look here, and the nostalgic and somewhat vintage sprinklings through the faux fur collar, the chunky buttons and the beautiful silky contrast lining.
Pairing my oh so fabulous new coat with an old dress that I picked up at an outlet store in Copenhagen last year and that has been such a great piece whilst pregnant with it's trapeze, smock silhouette. I'm also TOTALLY obsessed with wearing these seriously chunky and totally bad ass boots with everything lately. Whether it's with more feminine looks such as this or wearing them as an extra layer of warmth underneath jeans, they're honestly so so fab! A very welcomed addition to my wardrobe.
What do you think?

I think you’ve left some of an old post at the bottom of this one – 5) Make 2021 Saturday By Megan Ellaby’s Year?
at least that’s how it’s appearing on my screen
I love a beret but they always make my fod so itchy then I lose my shit! Most probably the material. Are yours soft?
Ha ha I find this too. Might be the wool. We need to know the link for these ebay ones!!
If you click/press on the pink underlined ‘BERET- EBAY’ it takes you to the link! I believe they’re under £4 for one and have a lovely colour selection, hope this helps! :))) x
😂 Lets do it!
