This weekend marked another mini drop for Saturday By Megan Ellaby, my little clothing line that I just love working on oh so much. This year has been testing to say the least, particularly when it comes to the factory closures and delays in production due to that pesky virus! But we made it through and with some exciting new designs to boot, hurrah!
As I mentioned in my most recent blogpost about Saturday, I'm not sure if they'll be any of our signature knitwear this year due to our factory being closed down for so long but I live in hope that I'll have some answers really, very soon so I'll of course keep you updated.
I also mentioned in that post how despite the virus and all the hold ups it has created, we have still managed to tick off almost every goal we had set for ourselves at the beginning of the year, albeit a little later than planned. An exciting one for me is to finally be able to use a model rather than myself being behind the camera.
Introducing Fifi, our beautiful first ever Saturday model! Working with Fifi was honestly such a dream come true for me, she really brought my little brand to life and I'm so excited to continue working with her and with other models as Saturday hopefully grows and grows.
It was important for me to represent a different kind of woman with our first ever model as up until now it's just been me, which has worked for the most part but with everything that has happened this year I wanted to ensure that Saturday continues to be inclusive with those we work with and also with our sizing too, which I'm thrilled to say has been expanded with this drop too; all pieces going forward will now go up to 3XL and as always I would love any further feedback on how we can best improve moving forward.
So first up with this mini drop was the return of our best seller Margot.
Margot flew out the first time around so it was a no brainer to bring her back for one final hurrah in this colour. A super fun take on the seventies dagger collar blouses, I wanted to create my own dagger collar, this time fit with our Saturday clam embroidery in our signature pink shade, which works so beautifully with the 70s saffron yellow. Featuring a ring pull zip fastening it honestly looks so bad ass whichever way you wear it, as shown beautifully by Fifi.
Margot comes in a regular fit so you can style your Saturday high neck tops underneath her or your Saturday knitwear and boyfriend t-shirt's over the top.
A brand spanking new piece for Saturday is our ultimate hoodie!
After spending so much time in hoodies during lockdown I simply had to design my own of course this time incorporating the soft cotton that Saturday is known for. Seriously, everything we do is so super, duper soft. It's oversized so super comfortable, it's black so extremely versatile but it also features a touch of fun with our logo decked out in rainbow stripes. It has been my go-to throughout lockdown, will be my go-to for travelling and my ultimate layering piece throughout the colder months.
Now we have Primrose our super cute boyfriend fit tee in a washed ecru shade and featuring our latest flower power Saturday motif in red and pink of course.
A really cute wardrobe essential that works with pretty much every wash of jeans you own. Tuck her into mini skirts, layer her over maxi dresses or your Saturday high neck tops, the styling possibilities are endless.
P.S green and pink high neck top coming up in a few weeks time 😉
And finally the latest addition to our ever popular high neck tops we have Evie.
I absolutely cannot get enough of our lil rainbow stripe Evie, she's such a fab piece for adding fun and colour to your looks. As always our high neck tops are perfect for layering up in so many different ways to create a different look every time, whilst also looking fab when worn alone. Our high neck tops are designed to be form flattering, like a second skin, so if you prefer a looser fit then do size up.
I hope you love this new collection and as I sneakily mentioned above we'll have a few more designs dropping in the next couple of weeks.
