What a stinker of a month eh, weather wise especially!
I always look forward to July every year as it's my birthday month and usually a month of gorgeous summer weather and of course lots of celebrations. But July 2021, during the year of Corona, well, it's been a very different story indeed. Rainy days after rainy days here in Manchester and of course celebrations have been kept to a minimum due to social distancing. But despite it being different to any other birthday month I've had before, it's still been really lovely albeit really wet too.
How has your July been? How have you found the new normal and getting back to some sort of IRL? I've been taking it all very slowly but I'm enjoying visiting my favourite restaurants again and seeing pals at long last. I've booked in for a hair cut and colour mid August and honestly that can not come quick enough, my mane is out of control right now, although the colour by Rob at RCNQ has last/grown out so so well!

I shot these photos in the midst of the lockdown and when Manchester was blessed with sunny day after sunny day, it was just the tonic needed for quite the depressing of times. I'm absolutely itching to get back to my summer wardrobe, to wear crochet, slip dresses, cotton maxi's and co-ords with sandals aplenty. COME ON SUNSHINE!
That leads me on nicely to this gorgeous co-ord by & Other Stories* a two piece that I absolutely LOVED wearing when the weather was warm enough. However, that being said the top looks absolutely magic when paired with high waisted wide leg jeans and the skirt looks fab with a T-Shirt or even a slim fitting jumper tucked inside, similar to those we have at Saturday By Megan Ellaby.

To me that's the beauty of a co-ord or a suit or twin set, they're two pieces that make a no brainer of an outfit that you can throw on in a hurry or when you're feeling uninspired, yet the outfit looks thought through and always super cool no matter what. And of course you always have the option to style it up with different pairings from your wardrobe to create completely different looks entirely which is always exciting for me.
Co-ords had a huge moment a year or so ago but there doesn't seem to be quite so many on the market right now, which only makes me love them even more (contrary old me eh!) However, I did find some absolutely beautiful two pieces to share with you from the likes of Monki and & Other Stories predominantly.
I'll leave them all below however don't feel that you need to buy an identical set of pieces to be able to make your own co-ord. I love coming up with a co-ord from the pieces in my wardrobe that I already have, things with the same colour running throughout, or perhaps the same/similar print, they don't need to be absolutely identical pieces to be a super fun co-ord.
