What glorious weather we've been having lately hey. Just waking up to see the sun streaming in through the window has been helping me drag myself out of bed and start my day off on the right foot. Spring is my favourite time of year as it's full of such possibility and positivity... Well, it usually is. It's such a huge shame that this time such a beautiful month has been tarnished by such a devastating virus, a spring we will hope to forget but will sadly never be able to.
And whilst this spring isn't the spring we were hoping for, i've been trying really hard to stay as positive as possible throughout it all. I'm trying to see the good in everything, particularly the small things. Waking up to the sun, the trees blooming with blossoms, the first smell and sip of coffee each day, walking my dogs and hearing nothing but the birds, dancing, making cocktails, Face Timing my mum, chatting with my Nanna on the phone, taking an hour out to watch Gilmore Girls... Again, self shooting content for my blog (as I did with these snaps) the list goes on, I've been taking every day as it comes and trying to see the good in every little thing that comes my way.

I've been really enjoying going through last summer's wardrobe (which is stuffed in bags and hidden away in one of the spare rooms... Very chic and organised) and discovering pieces that I haven't worn in months, pieces that I loved wearing last year but lets face it, last summer wasn't really the summer we'd hoped for weather wise now was it. Spring has kicked off in a very sunny and warm way, in Manchester at least, and it's been nice to rediscover pieces that make me feel good.
This dress was from Sezane, the absolute best place for summer dresses in my opinion. They're always so simple, so classic and so beautifully made, summer pieces that will last and last. I've actually got a couple of new Sezane dresses on their way to me, this one and this one to be precise and I'm so thrilled to be adding them to my spring/summer wardrobe, particularly after last years Sezane summer dress success story.

And despite having two new dresses on their way to me, I don't think I'll be adding too much more to my wardrobe over the next couple of months. I'm simply enjoying wearing the pieces from last summer and the summer before too much.
Styling them in a way that I haven't before and sharing them with you both here and on Instagram. I do hope that you're exploring your summer clothes and styling yourself up, even if it's just for your supermarket trip or your daily walk, honestly a good outfit goes a long way for making you feel that little bit better.
And as this look is sadly no longer available I've linked some of my favourite summer dresses and hats for you in case you're in need of a little retail therapy. Cause as much as I think it's great to rediscover your older pieces, retail therapy can also work wonders for your mood too, if you buy wisely of course. My little shopping edit of dresses and hats is just over to the left, with a song that will make you smile over to the right... Go on, give it a listen and try and tell me that it doesn't make you grin.
Lots of love and stay safe.
