A quick post from me today to talk about two pairs of glasses that I am utterly thrilled about! Fun hey!
Now I know there are a few of you that have pretty terrible eyesight like yours truly over here so I thought you might be interested in hearing about these two pairs of Gucci glasses that I found in TK Maxx!
I could not believe my luck when I spied a whole host of insanely gorgeous Gucci designs in my local TK Maxx store, the one on Market Street in Manchester if you're from my neck of the woods. We're quite lucky here in Manchester as our TK Maxx is pretty phenomenal when it comes to 10/10 brands but GUCCI(!!!) was another level of phenomenal-ness!
Rows and rows of stunning Gucci opticals scattered with the likes of Celine, Stella McCartney, Missoni and more, I simply couldn't believe my luck! But you know that Gucci is my brand of all brands, my absolute favourite so I honed in on these designs and selected two that I simply had to have.
I'm blind as a bat, opting for contact lenses for every day wear but it means a lot to me to have glasses that I feel like myself in. Glasses that elevate my outfits rather than deflating them, glasses I actually want to wear and feel confident in and these two pairs completely and utterly ticked those boxes.

The first pair I made a beeline for were these gorgeous oversized tortoise shell chunky frames with the most divine silver glitter arms and double G in gold to the front of the arms. I don't think I really need to go into too much detail as to exactly why I fell in love with this particular style, I think they speak for themselves don't they!
But my goodness I have never seen a more fabulous pair of optical glasses and as they were reduced from £400 to £85 I swiped them up right away.

The final pair caught my eye as I was on my way to the checkout and it was mainly due to the simplicity of the design... Not like Gucci at all. I also really loved the fact that the perspex used was a warm, gold-like perspex rather than the typical cold toned perspex you see with a lot of this style of frame.
They have a gorgeous little bee design going up each arm in gold which is beautiful and very apt for me, being from Manchester and all.
These were just £75 reduced from £250 and as it's nice to have the luxury of choice with most things you choose to wear, I thought it would have been silly to leave without them too.

Upon leaving the shop I hotfooted straight to my local Specsavers store where I left my bargain frames for the team to change to my correct prescription and a week later they were ready to pick up and I've been in love with them ever since 🙂
I thought it was useful to put this together as you never know what you might find in your local TK Maxx store or even in a charity shop or vintage shop. Usually (and I mean usually, it's not always) your opticians are able to change the lenses to your prescription quite easily, even if they are sunglasses and of course vice versa too, I had the option to change these to sunglasses which was extremely tempting I must say. So if you find a frame you love, pick em up, it's SO important to have eyewear you feel great in as it sucks enough that we can't see properly, we might as well be visually impaired in style hey!?

Another Northern girl here – by far the best TK Maxx in the North is Manchester’s. And I’ve been to all of them….
Oh yes! x
Such a good tip! Went into today and got my dream Celine’s and then straight on to Specsavers to pick up on Wednesday. Thanks gal!
