I'm sat here in my living room, with the candles lit and a large cup of tea, watching Junior Bake Off whilst the rain TIPS it down outside... Oh the contrast to the images I'm sharing today eh.
As promised here we have a gorgeous little photo diary shot on film from our time in Saint Lucia. We spent a week on the beautiful Caribbean island at the incredible Sandals Grande Saint Lucian resort.
It was a week of relaxation and not a lot else, something George and I really rather needed after a super exciting and jam packed year. The Sandals team kindly invited us out there to celebrate our engagement which was a total pinch me moment indeed and I am so so grateful for the experience.

They're three Sandals resorts in Saint Lucia all of which look absolutely idyllic. We were invited to the larger of the three the Sandals Grande Saint Lucian which was complete and utter perfection. The weather was divine (until our last day when the heavens opened) and we quite literally did nothing but read, eat and drink for the entire 7 days.
Every day we rose at 6am due to jet lag and felt we were in paradise each and every day. The grounds were stunning with a number of pools and a truly breathtaking beach.

There are a number of room types available at the Grande Saint Lucian and we were completely spoilt with our Rondoval suite that came with a butler service... VERY fancy eh!
Our room also came with a private terrace which featured a hammock (ideal for reading in the early morning) a hot tub and a small pool, it was the perfect romantic hideaway to celebrate our engagement.

With 27 restaurants and 6 bars on site it's safe to say we ate like kings and queens. A culinary journey around the world featuring cuisines from Italy, India and the Orient, the food really was sensational. Our favourite dining experiences were the sushi restaurant Soy, the Teppanyaki restaurant Kimono and the Indian restaurant Bombay which were all truly delicious.

Halfway through our trip we decided to rent out a Cabana for the day which was a truly lovely and luxurious way to spend the day. This option is available for all guests and offers a gorgeous cabana with a beautifully private bed draped in linen and two loungers for when the time came to catch some rays.
We ordered breakfast to our cabana which was so luxe along with a delicious lunch too which was served by our personal butler another perk of hiring the cabana. The cabana comes with a huge cool box filled with beers, champagne, fruit juice and water so you quite literally don't need to leave your spot all day long.

And so there is a little look into the dreamiest of weeks in Saint Lucia. It was such a wonderful week and I'm already itching to get back to Saint Lucia to explore a little more. We're also considering a Sandals resort for our honeymoon next year as we loved our time there so much.
