Why hello there you lovely bunch, I hope you're all doing really well and you had a gorgeous weekend. I certainly did celebrating my birthday in beautiful St Ives with George and his family and my bestie Amy and her lovely boyfriend Rob. I'll have more from the weekend coming up on soon but for now I thought I'd share some summer outfits with y'all.
I've spent the best part of the last year working with the dreamy Parisian brand Sezane on tonnes of Instagram content. And whilst this is by no means part of that partnership, I thought it best to explain that with the view of being completely transparent I was paid to create the content you have seen over on my Instagram profile.
That being said I thought it would be rude to not give said imagery some more time in the limelight and as it's now summer time, I thought it'd be nice to do a bit of a blog-style-look-book featuring 5 summer outfits that I've styled up around the new or new-ish collections from Sezane.

DRESS- c/o SEZANE, BOOTS- JOSEPH VIA THE OUTNET

First up we have this gorgeous striped summer dress. It's smock in shape which is my favourite summer silhouette when it comes to dresses. They hang off the body beautifully creating a really retro and relaxed silhouette. I adore the lengthening stripe design of the print, particularly with it's varying shades of oranges with a touch of silver glitter running throughout the stripes. The sleeves are cut in a way that create some height, which I always find flattering on me. The sleeves, combined with the smocked bodice, it's a dress that connotes real nineties nostalgia in me, feeling like something I'd have loved and worn when I was a wee nipper.
I've styled it here with my trusty Ray Ban Rounds... Of course and then in true Megan style with my Joseph knee boots, a pair of boots that I still can't get enough of and I still can't believe quite how frequently I'm reaching for them, even in the warmer months. They just look so damn good with little skirts and dresses creating my much loved sixites/seventies vibe.

BANDANNA- ASOS, SHIRT- c/o SEZANE, JEANS- & OTHER STORIES, SHOES- CONVERSE

Now a slightly more low key get up with this adorable daisy print shirt. You can't beat a crisp white shirt in the summer time (or in the winter months let's be fair here) and never have I seen a more perfect one that this daisy print baby.
Going back to 2017 and pairing the shirt with a lil bandana neckerchief, a look I'll never tire of and styled simply with a pair of my fave jeans and trusty Converse highs.

This little cream pinafore dress made me realise the importance of having a summer dress such as this in your wardrobe. It's SO great for throwing on when the weather heats up and with little to know styling stress. Simply pair it with some trainers like I've done here or throw on a pair of ankle boots or sandals for all the summer feels. It's a great one for the beach, for an evening on holiday or for strutting around your city in the glorious sunshine. And bonus, when it cools down a little throw on a contrasting T-shirt underneath, dreamy or what.

Another bohemian inspired smock dress from Sezane, the QUEENS of the summer dress in my humble opinion... Just don't wear this one on a windy day... Trust me, I learnt the hard way.
This one features the most beautiful embroidered detailing to the waist, hemline and cuffs and hangs spectacularly off the body, similarly to most of my dresses, it looks awesome with my brown knee boots and Chloe Tess bag but I can't wait to rock this with Dr Martens and an oversized denim jacket throughout festival season.

DRESS- c/o SEZANE, BAG- c/o CHLOE, BOOTS- JOSEPH VIA THE OUTNET

TSHIRT- c/o SEZANE, JEANS- & OTHER STORIES, TRAINERS- VEJA

And finally, as well as nailing the summer dresses, Sezane also know a thing or two about basics. A simple striped T-shirt makes the basis of many a girls wardrobe and this one with it's muted tones and textured cotton was one welcome addition to my ever growing T-shirt collection. The perfect outfit for exploring this summer.

All these outfits are so up my street and they suit you so so well, even if they’re a bit more subtle compared to your usual styling! Can’t wait to see more lovely summer looks from you.

P.s.: some outfit inspo for slightly colder days would come in handy right now as well, as the heatwave seems to be pausing where I live at the moment..
