I know you're dying to know if I got Spice Girls tickets or not.
OR if you know me well, you'll know that I failed epically due to how quiet I was about it on social media.
Yep, another concert bites the dust, another set of tickets that I desperately tried to get hold of but completely and utterly failed with. Even when they announced more dates. How on EARTH do people do this?
But alas, it's all okay, I'm going to wait until nearer the time to see what we can do, I will get to see them, I will *please universe*
How are we all today? Good start to the week I hope? The last three days have been FILLED with DIY and cleaning for both George and I; and whilst my back ACHES and I have a slight case of cabin fever, it's nice to have each and every room in our house officially complete and strangely enough exactly a year to this day (or yesterday when you're reading this) when we moved in, how strange! I guess thats one of those mental goals that I set for myself ticked off hey! I'm feeling super happy and super grateful for all that we've achieved together this year and I'm SO excited to share some more snippets of our home with you very soon, what would you like to see first?
Anyway, I'm back today with a brand new style post and an outfit that I really bloody LOVE! An outfit that I feel your Grandad would be v much into also.

Dressing like a Grandad wasn't something I set out to do, it just kind of happened and I'm totally okay with it. Sometimes it's the most unlikely of suspects that inspire us the most.
Today was the turn of the Grandad with his fairisle tank tops and his trusty corduroy.
I've had this tank top for a good few months already yet this was it's first little outing.
I've been totally desperate to rock it since it came into my life but it's simply not been cold enough to do so... Until now HURRAH!
I know, I know, I'm always waffling on about the importance of good quality knitwear but sometimes, and really only sometimes, there will be a piece that makes me think "sod it" as I speedily add it to my bag and enter my card details. This baby was just that and I am SO thrilled that I did in fact sod it.
It's an unusual rather boxy and short shape, yet it's totally oversized and the shoulders don't quite sit right. That, combined with the awesome colour combination of the fairisle print, it was completely and utterly love at first sight.
There's something about those so-wrong-it's-right colour combinations that really call out to me and when I spied this on ASOS it really got my styling juices flowing.

SUNGLASSES- c/o CHLOE, BLAZER- ASOS, HIGH NECK JUMPER- SATURDAY BY MEGAN ELLABY, TANK TOP- ASOS, JEANS- c/o & OTHER STORIES, BOOTS- (old ASOS) SIMILAR, BAG- c/o MSGM, RING- c/o MONICA VINADER
Here I've teamed it with a pair of jeans but I can't wait to see how good it looks when paired with a suede mini skirt too, of course of the A-line variety (god I'm predictable!) Whether you pair it with a crewe neck jumper, a T-shirt, an oversized white shirt or like me with my Saturday By Megan Ellaby high neck jumper (had to get that in there didn't I) I'm finding it to be a really rather versatile piece indeed.

Pair your Grandad's tank top with your Grandpa's corduroy blazer and well you're onto something, or should I say he is onto something!
I just love how your subconscious can take note of the weirdest and most wonderful of things, it could be something completely random, something you just so happened to glimpse at or something you don't remember looking at at all, yet your brain will bank it at the back of your mind for when you really need some inspiration.
Of course to bring it back to 2018 you have to throw in some light wash denim jeans, a pair of snake print boots and a set of truly statement accessories such as the most amazing Chloe Aviator Sunglasses and MSGM bag, am I right?

So what do you think? Will you be taking style notes from your Grandad anytime soon? Where's the weirdest place you find style inspiration, I'd really love to hear it.
I've said so many times before that I take style inspo, particularly in the form of colour combinations and textures from some rather strange places; whether thats with architecture or even food and I'd LOVE to learn about yours too!
