Sunglasses are my jam, I'm an absolute sucker for them!
I love them all year round but naturally no more than at this time of the year, I love the sheer variety in shapes, sizes, colours and finishes and I simply adore how they can take an outfit from zero to hero in the time it takes to place them on your face.
I always go a little bit cray cray for all things eyewear at this time of the year, naturally, the sun is shining and I'm becoming increasingly more paranoid of the frown/squint lines I am developing around my forehead and eyes...
Anyhoo enough of my ageing, I for one cannot believe how #blessed we've been with the weather this spring/summer; it's been absolutely bloody glorious and I never, ever want it to end, despite NEVER ever knowing what the hell to wear.
But something I can always rely on is my extensive sunglasses collection to take a simple outfit and transform it into something badass entirely; Sunglasses really are the finishing touch to all of my outfits and have been for SO many years while I built up my collection, however, one thing I've recently learnt is how vital a good, high quality pair of sunglasses can be for our eyes.
Now don't get me wrong, the high street have some of the absolute best sunglasses on the market and I have plenty of them in said collection, however when it comes to actually protecting your eyes from the sun it really is worth investing in something a little fancier.
I first noticed this whilst on holiday in the Maldives (read up on this here & here & here) reading on my sun lounger. I didn't even realise that I was squinting through my sunglasses, so much so I ended up giving myself one almighty headache before swapping my cheaper (and downright babeing might I add) ASOS sunglasses for George's RayBans.
Sometimes, it's worth investing a little more to ensure your sunnies are doing what they're supposed to and I'm here today to make the whole "Where on earth do I start!?" process that little bit easier for you with the luxury sunglasses worth investing in, lets go!

SAINT LAURENT WHITE SUNGLASSES- SIMILAR STYLE 1, STYLE 2 & STYLE 3, DIAMOND POLO SHIRT- ZARA
First up we have a pair of sunglasses that have been seen approximately 14897359749847563 times before, I am a girl obsessed what can I say?
To me, these Saint Laurent babies are the epitome of sixties sunglasses, with their oval, chunky white frame and jet black lens. It's a shape I feel really works to frame my face and I just love the contrast against my dark hair.
I wore these throughout last summer and continue to do so this summer too.
They add that much needed sixties touch to each of my looks and also a touch of kooky/quirky/fun too. These have sure as hell been tried and tested when it comes to protecting your eyes from the sun and I can safely say there is not a squint in sight.
This exact pair by Saint Laurent are no longer available, which is a huge shame, however, there are some very similar white frames from the brand that I've linked above incase you fancy investing in the must have white shade of the season.

PINK GLITTER GUCCI SUNGLASSES, TSHIRT- c/o AMERICAN VINTAGE
Next up we have the pink glitter Gucci's, yet another pair that I wore to death late last summer and am still, truly loving this year too! Whether you think they look like they're straight from a children's lucky bag (yes I'm looking at you dad...) or something Dame Edna would rock, there's no denying that these babies are statement af.
I love the nostalgic vibe they have to them as they personally remind me of the glitter jellies we wore as children back in the nineties.
The oversized round shape with a slight cat eye is a shape that I feel really compliments my face shape completely but I have to admit that I don't really care for working with solely the shapes that "suit" my face shape. Wear what the hell you want, that's the beauty of sunglasses, they transform an outfit, they portray different characters and personas within them so why stick to just one shape?
I've rocked these babies in Milan, in the Maldives and here in the v sunny UK and vouch that they're worth every single penny. They're also in the sale, so GO GO GO!

GLITTER MIU MIU SUNGLASSES, FROG PRINT JACKET- c/o SISTER JANE
This next pair are the Miu Miu Noir sunglasses with glitter and were one of the first fancier pairs of sunglasses I ever owned. I was OBSESSED with all things Miu Miu when I was younger and was absolutely desperate to invest in the brand in some way.
I feel that Miu Miu shades are extremely iconic as they rarely stray from the few key shade shapes each season, only updating the colour-ways and finishes along the way.
A great way to dip your toe into the designer market is with a pair of sunglasses as they tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum and you can find some absolute bargains! My fave websites for shopping designer sunnies are Sunglasses Shop and Eyewear Brands as they offer some really great discounts on both current and past season designs.
I'm pretty sure I picked these babies up on Sunglasses Shop many moons ago and have since added 3 other Miu Miu designs to my collection. They have a somewhat transparent lens to them yet they're still awesome when it comes to protecting your little peepers. Plus, these designs are SO delicate with their gold framework and a touch of glitter, the perfect amount of minimalism yet still with that quirky touch.

RAYBAN OVAL FLAT LENSES, PEACHY TEE- c/o RESERVED
Can you believe I am yet to feature a pair by RayBan? No me neither, but I guess we all know just how wonderful RayBan sunglasses are whether it's through owning a pair yourself or hearing it from our peers, RayBan really are the masters when it comes to slightly fancier eyewear.
RayBan are on the lower end of the luxury eyewear market which is why I love them so dearly! They have lenses that actually seriously protect our eyes from the sun, completely iconic designs whether that be the Wayfarer, Clubmaster, Aviator, Round Metal or my latest absolute FAVOURITES the RayBan Oval Flat Lenses!
I am honestly totally in LOVE with these babies ever since seeing this years RayBan x Sunglasses Shop brand ambassador and all round mega babe Charlotte Hole rocking them, I just had to have them in my life.
A slight update to my beloved and trusty RayBan round metals, the oval shape adds a modern touch to a classic, yet still with that desirable retro touch.
I always know I'm on to a winner, sunglasses wise when George compliments me on my choice of shades and when I first wore these babies I received not one but TWO compliments on them... These are a gooden!
I can whole heartedly recommend RayBan as your first venture into luxury eyewear, having tried and tested the entire collection last year through being an ambassador myself... Get involved!

BLACK GUCCI SUNGLASSES, FROG PRINT JACKET- c/o SISTER JANE
Yet another pair of Gucci sunglasses and the second of three that feature within this blog post, what can I say I'm crazy for all things Gucci.
This is probably the most understated most, classic pair of frames within this post and to be quite honest within my entire collection. I picked these up at duty free on my way to Cannes as I was on the market for a simple pair of shades that covered my face entirely. I wanted a pair that would hide my bare face when en route to the gym, a pair that would make my make up free and slobby days that little bit chicer and a pair that would add a real sophisticated edge to my more simple and classic of outfits.
These babies ticked all of the boxes and came home with me for a fraction of the price.
I'm sure you're all well aware of the savings that can be found when shopping at duty free but honestly I can't stress just how worth it, it is to wait until your next trip to take advantage on the discounts.

DKNY SUNGLASSES, PEACHY TEE- c/o RESERVED
These DKNY babies you've seen an awful lot within my blogposts already this summer (see them here, here & here for how to style em) but theres something about the futuristic style of them that keeps me going back for more. Despite them being pretty damn statement with their strong, rigid frame and blue see-through lenses they're rather easy to style up. I think it's the white frosted frame that adds a rather sixties feel to the glasses and therefore works seamlessly with my wardrobe.
I wore them constantly in San Francisco which was bloody sunny to say the least and constantly reach for them here too, so I can say with confidence that theres are great for your eyes too... Now to pick up another pair.

STRIPE GLITTER GUCCI SUNGLASSES, DIAMOND POLO SHIRT- ZARA
And finally the latest addition to my sunglasses collection and the same style as the pink glitter Gucci's we have this seasons update with an oh so gorgeous stripe glitter design in the must have SS18 ice cream pastel shades. I wore my pink babies to death last summer so thought it only right to indulge in the latest pair for my upcoming summer antics.
I've said all I can about Gucci shades already in this post but thought I'd share another design that you can get your hands on if you're in the market for a new statement pair of shades.

So there we have the must have sunglasses shapes and brands to invest in this season and beyond. I hope this was somewhat useful to you all as I know what a mindful the luxury market can be and it's often hard to know whats worth investing your hard earned money on. Each of these designs have been tried and tested by me and I would whole heartedly recommend each pair. As mentioned above, sunglasses are a great way of kick starting your designer collection whilst also adding a lil summin summin to each and every outfit.
What I truly love about sunglasses is how I can portray a different character with every pair, some make me feel strong and powerful, others fun and feminine, whilst some make me feel like a different person entirely whether that be a female Elton John, Liam Gallagher or Dusty Springfield. Just have fun with them, try not to focus on which shapes were designed for your face shape and just experiment with any and all the designs out there, 'cause don't we know there are SO freaking many!
I hope you loved this post as much as I did putting it together for you. The photography is some of my favourite yet and creating our very own photobooth was SO MUCH FUN!
Big thanks to Rosie for bringing my idea to life and to you lovely lot for always reading and always supporting.

Oh Paige thanks so much gorgeous one! That truly, truly means the world!

What a great array of sunnies here! You have a heart shaped face I think most glasses will look good on you. My face is small and long, a lot of glasses are too big for me and make me look like a bug haha. This photo booth reminds of when I was in Paris and was stopped by the metro police and got a fine for not having a photo on my pass.
