Why hello there everybody I hope y'all had a lovely weekend.
I'm feeling a wee bit out of the loop right now, on Sunday evening as I write this up.
I've been in the countryside at George's family home since Wednesday evening and whilst I was busy beavering away with some other work things, I didn't actually upload anything online until today, Sunday... How very naughty of me, but alas, it felt pretty damn good and I certainly needed some fresh country air, but also to devote some time to other projects.
Today I thought I'd come at you with another roundup post featuring a variety of different outfits.
I was recently in the beautiful string of seaside villages of Cinque Terre in Italy, a place I've always wanted to visit and a place I'd really like to return to having only got a small taster of what the coastal villages have to offer. However, what I did see was truly stunning, towns painted in the most gorgeous of colours and beautiful and totally unspoilt beaches, definitely somewhere to add to your bucket list I must say.
I visited with the lovely team at Next alongside some other blogging/Instagramming babes and whilst a great deal of these looks feature Next goodies, there are also some styling faves from a whole host of other brands too.
You seemed to love my last outfit round up post from San Francisco, which I'll leave right here for you in case you missed it, so I thought I'd throw together another one, this time a little more summer holiday appropriate, enjoy!

So this first look is probably one of my favourites from the entire trip, made up of an insanely comfortable and totally adorable linen striped playsuit from Next.
The washed red and white colour combination complimented Cinque Terre oh so BEAUTIFULLY and I styled it in true holiday style with a big ole floppy hat, probably the biggest I've ever worn, fit with a coordinating red trim and trio of pom-pom's, how freaking cute!?
The bag was featured in my last outfit post where I raved about how both practical and pretty this little baby is; it's fast becoming my go-to summer handbag both for it's sheer size and for how damn versatile it can be.
Then tying the whole red theme together with my trusty red espadrilles, originally bought from ASOS last year but there are tonnes of similar ones on the high street which I've left a link above for!
This look is the perfect holiday getup for me, it's comfortable, super duper cute and something that can totally be worn over hear in the UK with a few styling tweaks- why not replace the floppy hat with a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, the red espadrilles for a pair of black high-top Converse and throw on your leather jacket for the ultimate festival get up?
It's important for me to be able to re-use and rewear my holiday pieces so I'm going to describe mini rewear outfits for each of today's looks, I do hope you find it useful.

This is the look I wore on our first evening in Cinque Terre.
We'd spent a long ole day getting to our village, starting with a 4am wakeup call, an 830am flight from Heathrow, a shuttle bus, an hour long train ride & finally a taxi... It's safe to say we were all absolutely shattered once we arrived at our hotel.
Comfort is often high on my list of priorities when it comes to styling but no more so than when I am tired! Comfort is an absolute ESSENTIAL when I'm tired!
So I threw on this little plisse wrap top by Next and paired it with my trusty Alexander Wang denim shorts, my absolute summer holiday essential!
I foolishly opted for a bit of height, with these divine heels by Reserved. Granted, these babies are extremely comfortable indeed, but Cinque Terre is built on hills... Not my most sensible choice of footwear I must admit. But, alas they look totally cute and tie in the floral print within the red top perfectly.
Casual holiday outfits are always really easy to work into your day-to-day looks when you're at home.
Simply replace the denim shorts for a pair of denim jeans, or perhaps a pair of jet-black flares? Throw in a pointed pair of heels/boots, a statement lip and you've got yourself the perfect "jeans and a nice top" "Out-Out" look.

Now we have a touch of the print of the season in the form of spots. Polka dots and spots are EVERYWHERE this summer, it's utterly impossible to get away from them but saying that why the heck would you want to? Polka dots are an ode to childhood for me, they're fun, playful and nostalgic and I absolutely ADORE wearing them!
This polka dot skirt featuring a ruffle panel was actually a piece that Amy picked out, I hadn't even spotted it on the Next website.
Thats the thing with Next, they have SO many fabulous pieces that some can often get overlooked as Amy did with the delightful rainbow midi skirt she's rocking below; that was a piece I selected, so we handily made a trade knowing that we'd subconsciously picked a piece for one another. She kindly let me rock the skirt for our final night in Cinque Terre and I just loved it, keeping things somewhat minimal with a white body, my hair half back and my trusty rope sandals by Topshop.
Dare I say that I'm REALLY looking forward to teaming this skirt with a piece of knitwear...
Whether it's a fine knitted jumper that can be seamlessly tucked into the high waisted skirt or whether we opt for something a little chunkier, this skirt lends itself perfectly to the colder months as well as the warmer. Throw in some bad ass ankle boots and perhaps a fishnet tight and my goodness are you on to a winner!

And now we have the epitome of the perfect white summer dress, this time by Reserved.
This piece is fast becoming my go-to piece whenever the sun shines here in the UK but it had it's first outing whilst out in Italy a few weeks back.
It's made from a really lightweight yet somewhat rigid cotton, featuring tie straps, a square neckline and a v flattering drop waist. It's a really fabulous piece to take away with you as once you've rocked it in the evening with a pair of lace up espadrilles, a red lip and some OTT earrings, you can totally rock it down to the beach as I have here.
Throwing into the mix a straw boater hat, a woven beach bag and a pair of throw on and go sandals and you've got yourself the perfect hotel-to-beach or strolling round the town, sipping Aperol outfit.

So there we have four summer holiday looks, five if you count the one that Amy is a rocking, all of which can easily be styled up or down after yours hols when you're back at home.
I really hope you enjoyed this post and it's somewhat inspired you with your summer holiday styling.
Please let me know if there is anything you'd like to see from me here on meganellaby.com but also if you happen to follow me on Instagram or Youtube too, I'm always looking for inspiration. Oh and of course with the all new IGTV I'd love to hear what you would like to watch on that too.
Lots of Love

Thanks lovely lady, means a lot x
This post was super useful Megan, since I always struggle with combining holiday pieces when I’m back at home (being Germany, where its usually not even warm enough during summer).
Because you mentioned that things get easily overlooked on shopping websites (which I TOTALLY agree with) I think it would be awesome if you could do a post about your best online shopping tips and tricks or something.
Lots of love!
I’m thrilled you found it useful babes!
