Hello my pretties, I truly hope you’re all doing wonderfully and you’ve had a great week so far. I genuinely cannot believe how fast this week has gone. It’s gone by in the blink of an eye and we’re almost at the weekend again. Jeez Louise!
I thought today I’d simply just chat without any real agenda. The past week has been completely chaotic and I feel somewhat out of the loop/behind with work, something I know deep down that I’m not at all, but I can’t help but feel guilty when I have other things going on in my life that distract me from work.
As you know we moved into our beautiful new home at the weekend and I’ve quite frankly never, EVER been happier. I’m officially a homeowner, something that is a huge pinch me moment; I just never thought this would happen with how tricky it is to get on the property ladder nowadays, but alas here I am, typing from my brand new living room… BONKERS!
We’ve been super lucky with the fact that the house is GORGEOUS, it needs no work doing to it, simply just furnishing, dressing and painting where we want to inject a little more colour, I feel completely blessed I must say. We’ve spent the past month or so shopping for furniture and it’s slowly starting to find it’s way into our home, starting with our INSANE new sofa which you can see a little sneak peek of in my latest vlog here.
It’s been SO wonderful to document this very exciting life moment, I already can’t wait to look back on these moving videos and to see how far we have come, YouTube and social media really is a beautiful thing for documenting memories don’t you think!?
So whilst we still have a long way to go with dressing and furnishing our home, it’s looking pretty damn good indeed and I’ve honestly never, ever been happier! Happiness is a funny ole thing, it’s something that is thrown around the way in which the term “I love you” is.
However, I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever been as happy as I am right now, here, in our home, with George. It’s weird, I’m such a happy and positive person by nature but the happiness I’ve felt towards this house trumps everything else, does that make sense? Probably not but hey, I’m just typing whatever pops into my little brain right now, I hope you don’t mind.

So moving and new beginnings aside, now it’s time for the outfit. This is one of those looks that I conjured up in my sleep. It’s a look that I truly have no idea where it came from but alas, it’s here and I personally really bloody like it.
Styling, similarly to all of the above is a beautiful thing. It can strike you at unexpected moments with unexpected combinations, the tricky thing is, is finding the confidence to just roll with it.

HAT- TOPSHOP, JACKET- HOLLISTER, JUMPER- c/o CHINTI & PARKER, SKIRT- PRETTY LITTLE THING, TIGHTS- NEW LOOK, BOOTS- TOPSHOP, BAG- c/o CHLOE, NAME RING- c/o MOOD GOOD

Every item within this look was a new piece at the time. Pieces I was itching to wear and suddenly found myself wearing all at once. The cashmere jumper is from my current fave brand Chinti & Parker; a cashmere brand that make the most wonderfully adorable jumpers, onesies, accessories and more. This is a piece from their latest Moomin collaboration and I’m totally in love with it. George calls me Moomin, so this really is the perfect piece for me.
Whilst on a denim jeans ban I chose to team the knit with a checked flocked skirt by Pretty Little Thing, not a brand I normally go for but the colours of the skirt really, truly sucked me in. It’s a really great fit on the waist and the length is perfect also for nailing that much loved sixties aesthetic.
Clashing those prints with a little leopard Harrington style jacket from Hollister, again a brand I wouldn’t think to shop; I bloody love it when brands I’d once dismissed surprise me with all new collections.

And now for the pièce de résistance, the Chloe Faye backpack, DOUBLE HEART EYE EMOJI!
It’s the latest handbag to grace my collection and I’m completely hook line and sinker for it. It’s a teeny tiny bag that packs a serious punch as it fits SO MUCH INTO IT! You can carry the bag in two ways either on your back, or with the top handle slung over your shoulder, something I found to be extremely attractive indeed. It’s covered with stars so naturally I was drawn to it’s beauty, but it’s also proving to work perfectly with the majority of my wardrobe and looks.

So there we have my little waffle for the week, I hope you don’t mind me just chatting like this. I have a lot of thoughts racing through my brain right now with moving, work, Christmas and all, so this was all I could conjure up for today, I hope you don’t mind.
I’ll be back next week, with WiFi (I hope) and an all new office space, FINALLY! So I’ll see you then with a more interesting post.
Thanks for all your love and support lately, you guys really are the best!
x M

Congratulations on the new home! I am not a home owner, but I can imagine how you feel, it is such a great accomplishment, especially since finding the right flat to rent already feels like an accomplishment to me!

Thanks babes! Ahhh yes finding the correct flat that you feel at home in is SUCH an achievement, trust me, I know it after 7 years of renting! Congrats girlie xo
It’s an AMAZING achievement to become a homeowner in such an early age. I can totally understand all those happy feelings you’re feeling right now and it shows in your vlogs too. You’re literally beaming with joy and it’s so nice to see!! x

Thank you Emma, means a lot! xoxoxo
Congrats on your first house….what a smart move. There is real security…..financial, emotional and physical…..in having our home. I’ve watched the video and the place looks great, with lots of potential to give it the M & G ‘touch’. I am really happy for both of you….cheers to many happy times there. X Deb
Ohhh Deb, thank you for always being SO lovely and kind, it really means the world.’
Thank you xo
Hi Megan 🙂
Your genuine happiness in the first part of the post wetted my eyes a bit, and I’m not one who cries easily, but it was so nice to read? see? hear? you so content, congrats again on buying your new house!
That skirt is amazing, and I love how you styled, I might get this skirt myself! ^^
Ohhh Anna wow thank you so much honey, thats so so sweet of you!
Thanks for taking the time out to comment babe x
You are seriously styling queen! I love every piece you put together even if it’s something I wouldn’t see myself wearing!!! Also I’m still so so so so so happy for you and George! Of course like everyone else I’d love to see your house but I’m all for privacy and after watching your moving vlog I don’t want you to feel pressured into doing anything like that – maybe a few sneaky hauls because your style is incredible and I bet you’re going to style your house amazingly! XX

Oh youuu thanks for always being SO SO lovely! It means a lot that you can still take inspiration from my looks, despite them not always being something you would personally wear.
Thanks also for being understanding with regards to a home tour, it’s something that doesn’t sit too well with me, but who knows, I may come around 😉 until then, they’ll 100% be hauls and sneak peeks in my vlogs etc, so really hope you enjoy.
Thanks babe x
I will always love your style! I’d rather you enjoy your new house in privacy than have to film it all because we all need some privacy in our life! Especially when you’ve got a following and all that jazz, so don’t feel pressured to do anything like that, I support you for you, not a house tour hahaa!!! XX
Thanks gorgeous, really means so much.
And I simply couldn’t agree with you more, thanks for being so understanding babe x
