Well hello there you wonderful people.
I'm back today with a three in one post, something I haven't done for absolutely AGES and I'm so excited to share this one with you.
It's always nice to see different ways in which to wear certain items so I really hope you enjoy this one.
Ellesse have challenged me to style their awesome heritage range in three different ways for that tricky transitional period.
I have to say, each year without fail I get myself into a bit of a rut.
It's always at this time of year and similarly in the spring/summer transition when the pieces in store aren't quite reflecting the good ole British weather. At this time of year, your heart is crying out for thick knits, faux fur and ALL the layers, whilst the weather and therefore your head is saying "get a grip, it's humid af, get those pins out and layer with a light jacket" in-turn, throwing our styling abilities into meltdown and into the inevitable style rut.
But fear not, I have three v wearable and super easy breezy transitional outfits for y'all today that should see you through until November when the weather is finally cold enough for ALL THE LAYERS - and even then, these looks can still totally be achieved; just throw in some tights, a chunky scarf and some oversized knitwear, simples!
I thought I'd share my styling thought process along with each look as I often find it super interesting to know what made someone style themselves in such a way, so without further ado, I bring to you my three Ellesse Heritage looks.

First up, we have an outfit based around the Ellesse Annelisa Crop Top, a personal fave from the AW17 Heritage drop. It's a very "Megan" top, what with it's high neck sixties style, which you all know I totally adore. I personally love how the Annelisa crop features a zip fastening which makes it unlike any other high neck top in my collection, and trust me, I have one ALMIGHTY collection of em. It's cropped which means it lends itself perfectly to anything high-waisted, I knew instantly what I wanted to team this little baby with, and I think you could probably have guessed too?! A beloved A-Line skirt with elongating press stud detailing in a black suede, to amplify those sixties vibes to the max. Throw in a platform boot and a baker boy cap to up the ante a little more and then the teddy bear coat of the season to tackle those transitional winds and counteract the bare legs and we have a transitional weather winner!
This day I was pottering around town, catching up with friends and running errands. It's a perfect put together yet totally fun look that is really easy to wear and I felt down right fabulous in it. The shades within the Ellesse Heritage logo on the breast tie in beautifully with the rust tones of the coat and the boots to bring the whole retro inspired day look together for Autumn.

Next up we have the perfect day-to-day down time look featuring the Ellesse Giusy Crop T-Shirt. I personally ADORE the blue marl colour and finish of the top, not to mention it shapes to the body BEAUTIFULLY. Paying homage to the Ellesse sporting heritage and combining the key AW17 trend of OTT branding with taping down each arm, it's a real statement piece but one I find totally easy to style up.
As I adored the colour of this top so much, I wanted to champion it to the fullest and opted for complimenting denim shades with a pair of super long, straight leg jeans and an oversized boxy denim jacket. I think the combination of varying blue shades makes this look feel really contemporary whilst still nodding to my much appreciated retro vibe.
This is the kind of thing I wear on a daily basis (I'm wearing a v similar version right now) and I find it to be the perfect thing for those down days at home, editing and writing but with an on trend balance that means you can pop out for meetings, running errands and that much needed coffee and still feel ace.
It's becoming a go-to look of mine and I find it to be the perfect way to balance the transitional styling scale.

Now we have an unlikely pairing.
Sportswear for a night on the tiles, who'd have thought it?
Well I happen to absolutely ADORE this look, it's the perfect smart meets casual get-up with that much sought after quirky touch. The Lucia Rib Body makes the basis of the look and is such an awesome piece for taking your look from day to night.
Seamlessly tucked into a pair of high-waisted black kick flare trousers it creates the most beautiful of silhouettes for showing off your curves. Toss a leather jacket over your shoulders to beat the October chill, pull your tousled waves into a low messy ponytail, pop in some statement earrings and throw on your best heels and your sportswear just became evening wear, smart ey?
I personally adore the high neck, the forest green shade which is oh so key for Autumn right now and the ribbed texture to the body which moulds to your shape beautifully. It's a look I felt truly sexy in, which is quite an unlikely statement when sportswear is involved, but with all the right juxtapositions in place, it works like a dream.

So thats three rather unlikely ways to wear Ellesse Heritage sportswear to combat the tricky transitional period. Sometimes it's the most unlikely of pieces that make for the most interesting of looks; sometimes it's about throwing caution to the wind and simply having fun with fashion, inventing looks that you haven't seen before and would have previously never thought about rocking.
I hope this has given you some inspiration for stepping out of the dreaded transitional style rut. I'd really love to hear what you think to these looks, which is your fave? Have you ever thought about styling sportier items as evening wear? Have I managed to sway ya? Let me know.

Love the evening look! On paper it shouldn’t work, but it truly does! Love the denim look as well, as I often work from home, I’m always looking for an outfit which is comfortable yet still stylish enough to wear outside!
