Welcome to my first beauty post in quite some time...since late last year to be precise.
I am SO insanely excited to be dipping my toe back into the world of beauty blogging once again and to be kicking it off with what are my all time favourite photos to ever grace PBM!
The reason for not covering much beauty on here for some time wasn't because I fell out of love with beauty, in fact quite the opposite, it was because I was inundated with new products, there were so many hero pieces that I wanted to shout from the roof tops about, yet I simply didn't know where to start. I didn't know where I fit in the beauty world, I wasn't sure where to slot myself when it came to discussing beauty. "Why would anyone come to me for beauty chat when they could go to people like The Anna Edit, Fleur De Force or Estee La Londe?" I would say, and in-turn I would quietly admire and love beauty from afar, never sharing it with you guys, until now.
I truly adore all things make up and skincare and I want to talk about it, even if only a handful of you guys read it and take something from it, I still have voice and an opinion and like most, I have those pieces I love and that I don't love so much and I want to share them with the world.
So here we have my reintroduction into beauty blogging, with something I am whole heartedly proud of!
Sophie and I set up a mini home studio and just played around with backdrops and lighting to create something rather high fashion and editorial based to showcase my love for make up.
We wanted to do something different to anything we've seen before in the beauty blogging world, we wanted to make it slick and oh so totally sleek, and we wanted the beauty features here on PBM to have that high fashion touch, you hear me?!?

I wanted to kick things off in beauty-ville with a look I've been LOVING wearing recently, a look that packs a serious punch when up close, but a look that overall, isn't too dissimilar from the usual, everyday make up I adorn.
Recently I've been introduced to orange mascara and I can honestly say it is a HUGE game changer. The mascara in question is the Mac Work It Out Mascara in shade Warm Up and to say it has changed my make up game forever, is a total understatement.
It's a beautifully whipped formula which means it's super lightweight and therefore awesome at creating both fullness and curl to the lashes whilst being SUPER pigmented and in-turn SERIOUSLY orange. The Mac Work It Out mascara makes achieving those thick and separated sixties style lashes that I love oh so much extremely quick indeed, which is always something I look out for in a mascara. It's a complete hero product for me and something I'm really enjoying experimenting with, whilst I have the Work It Out mascara in both orange and black, the colour range is out of this world, with shades such as yellow, red, pink and blue to name but a few, colours I'm truly desperate to try out and find out whether they're altogether as wearable as the orange shade.

New make up love affairs aside, I do have my old faithful make up products that I go back to each and every day, such as the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, the Mac Liquid Last Eye Liner, Benefit Hula Bronzer and my much loved nude-brown-red lip combo; These are the staples of my make up bag, those products that have been tried, tested and therefore loved for many a year previous.
So what do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this make up look and whether you've tried coloured mascara out before or if you're tempted to do so now? I'd also love to hear your thoughts on this kind of beauty post; It's something I am are extremely proud of and we really hope you enjoyed it, if the answer is yes please let me know as we'd love to make this a more regular thing. If you have any requests for make up looks you'd like to see then do let me know those too, perhaps a certain colour-way or even an occasion you'd like some make up inspo for, just drop me a comment and I'll see what we can do.
There is also a tutorial to this exact look over on my YouTube channel that you can find here. As always I truly hope you've loved this post and cannot wait to hear your thoughts.

Megan, this is so beautiful! You and Sophie never cease to amaze me with your creativity and talent – and hard work, of course 😉 I absolutely love the high fashion editorial style. A massive applause to both of you. Ok, I’ll stop gushing now, but I just wanted you to know that even if the subject of beauty is out of your comfort zone, you nailed it!
P.S. That mascara is amazing and it really suits you! And yes, please feel free to share anything beauty related again.

Megan I really hope this post shows you how truly stunning you are! In your videos we get a glimpse into your warm and luminous personality but your blog posts always just show off your natural beauty, radiance and impeccable style.
I, like you said you do, struggle with self confidence but you are really an inspiration! You aren’t afraid to style yourself the way YOU like and it pays off big time!
Honestly mesmerised by these shots and will remain on tenterhooks for your next posts/uploads (as always).
big love x
Just came to this post from your lastest youtube video which I absolutely love and wow this is such an amazing look! Love the photography in this post too 🙂

The red details look absolutely amazing !
You and Sophie are a bloodie creative dream team pal!!! This is like my favourite post ever – styling, makeup and layouts on point!
Obsessed with the orange mascara. I’ve been looking for bold liquid eyeliners recently but can’t find any! Might have to try MAC ?

That orange is so striking, it looks great on you. I’ve not touched coloured mascara since my teenage years but tempted to give it another shot. Think I’d stick with a blue, purple or green as I’ve always gravitated towards those colours the most. I’d love to see more beauty posts, maybe looking at different colours for eyeshadow / lipstick. Or a natural vs more made up look? So many options! FWIW, I’d rather read beauty posts from my fave fashion bloggers because it seems more relatable somehow than going over to a more specific beauty-oriented blog.

Truly truly gorgeous. The photos certainly have that high fashion vibe you were going for, definitely paid off. I would definitely like to see more beauty posts if they are all this incredible! Love xx
I discovered this mascara in one of your fashion favourites video and I immediately purchased it, but as I am very fair-skinned, blond-haired and blue-eyed I opted for the fuschia shade (Abs Of Steel) and I adore it ! I wear it all the time and I truly recommend it if you were to purchase another shade, it’s really fun yet easy to style (as you said, it truly is a styling item of its own)
This post is absolutely beautiful, the pictures are stunning and really do justice to this amazing coloured mascara ! I’d love to see more beauty related posts like this !
Love x
Possibly some of the most beautiful photographs I’ve ever seen on a blog. They should be in a magazine! Amazing. Becca xx

Can we just take a minute to discuss how wonderful this post is?
You’ve really upped the level of a basic beauty post, the images are almost editorial in style. I love it!
Ahh love the pictures! The whole vibe and quality is amazing, well done HUN! Please make this a regular thing 🙂
Btw, you really have lovely skin! I would love to hear your thoughts on a foundation as I am looking to try out a new one.
Oh my gosh!! Can’t get over how beautiful these photographs are so so different to everything else! You never cease to amaze me x
Please do more beauty videos! Your style is perfection and it’s so amazing to see someone do something different for once! All the beauty bloggers are blending together into a boring blur of highlighter and sponsored product placement. Yawn. It’s so refreshing to see someone be bold and have fun with their look. It’s so inspiring! You actually make me want to wear orange mascara, which is a sentence I never thought I would say in my entire life. And that’s what I love about your content, you inspire me to be more playful with my look and I’ve found that I’m so much more excited to get dressed in the morning. Delighted to see it now spill into my makeup routine as well. Thanks x
Amazing make up and I saw your video tutorial for this make up and I fall in love 🙂

Hi Megan!
You can definitely be proud of this post, the pictures were absolutely stunning and the make-up was so original on you. I would for sure enjoy more beauty related posts coming from you (especially skincare since your skin is amazing :p). When it comes to requests, I have something to ask 🙂 I’m attending a wedding this august and I would like to see what kind of make-up look you’d come up with. Can’t wait to see your take on whichever requests you’ll take ! Lots of love <3
I get why those pics are your favourites on your blog, they’re beyond perfect, you look stunning and the make-up is so cool, orange is my fav bold colour for makeup, so flattering !
