Here we go, another week is with us and we’re back to work.
Where-oh-where do these so-called weekend’s disappear too ey?
It made me chuckle the other day when someone tweeted me and said “Is it even Monday if Megan Ellaby doesn’t say “How the heck is it Monday?” BUT SERIOUSLY! How is it Monday already? Ha.
The working week is here and I have a rather fitting post to get us started this week.
These snaps were taken in London whilst Sophie and I were down for London Fashion Week and I have to say, they could well be some of my favourite’s ever! But then again, each and every shoot that Sophie and I do together seems to surpass the previous… Stay tuned for next week’s favourite ever post too 😉
I felt really proud to be subtly repping Manchester whilst down in the Big Smoke for fash week, thanks to this oh-so beautiful bottle green blazer. A blazer adorned in bee’s might I add. Did you know that the symbol for Manchester is the Worker Bee?

Well yes, yes it is!
And therefore this Mancunian lass has a rather unhealthy obsession with them; having recently (last year) gone full throttle on the bee love-in and had the outline of the Manchester worker bee beautifully etched onto my skin. My bee tattoo on the back of my ankle is my favourite of all four of my tattoo’s and I feel SO proud whenever it peeks through from underneath my jeans.

The worker bee was adopted as Manchester’s official motif during the Industrial Revolution, back when Manchester was the top dog, the leading role and quite frankly the bee’s knees when it came to new forms of mass production.
The bee denotes the hard work of Mancunian's during this era and since then, and since seven bee’s were included in our city’s crest of arms, they’re flipping EVERYWHERE.

Whether it’s on our street lamps, rubbish bins, bollards, planters or beautifully engraved into the incredible architecture throughout the city, there’s quite frankly a shit tonne of them.
And now, much to my excitement they’re bloody everywhere on the high-street too, so we can all get our little fix of Mancunian charm.
First up we have this blazer, I then purchased a shirt embroidered with bee’s and have even got bee print shoes too… I’m a woman on a mission, a mission to work hard, wear bee print and truly encompass everything our wonderful Mancunian motif stands for.
