Bonjour!
How are you all doing?
Im currently writing this in Nandos (classic) after getting back from Paris and desperately pining for time to go a little faster so I can FINALLY get on the train from London and get my little butt back to Manchester.
I was in Paris with H&M, a brand you know means a lot to me!
I’ve shopped there since I was a little girl so to be invited along to Paris with them is for-sure one of those pinch me moments in life.
We took the short Eurostar train to Paris for the H&M Studio Paris Fashion Week Show, my first H&M Studio Show and my first time at PFW, albeit for one show only.
But my goodness what a show it was!
I’m sure you’ve seen tonnes of press coverage from the big event and, I hope you managed to catch my Insta stories whilst I was there, but my goodness it was incredible!
Hosted at Tennis Club De Paris it was the biggest fashion show I have ever attended.
When I say it was HUGE and when I say it was vibey af… Let me tell you it was HUGE and vibey AF!!! Everything from the beautiful and oh-so handsome waiters and waitresses offering guests pick-a-mix sweets, champagne and cocktails, to the fun backstage video’s projected on every wall within the room, to the truly epic soundtrack of old school favourites including Dusty Springfield, Harry Nilsson and a modern cover of the "Grease" soundtrack by Flo Morrissey and Matthew E White, it was a complete and utter show sensation.
The show consisted of sportswear in fuchsia pink and black combined with all the ruffles a girl could need, think Victoriana meets Athleisure!
The models, Gigi and Bella Hadid (of course) Winnie Harlow and Adwoa Aboah to name a few, smiled their way down the runway, dancing and shimmy-ing with braided hair and fresh skin, it was somewhat childlike in the best possible way and I truly, truly LOVED IT!
Finishing the night with a surprise performance by The Weekend and a utterly epic party, it was a show to remember and I cannot thank H&M enough for having me along for the ride, I adored every single moment.

I REALLY wanted to share with you what I wore for the show so enlisted the help of the beautiful Renata who kindly showed me the Parisian ropes (with an almost pick-pocketing nightmare… GRGGGH) and created these beautiful images for me to share with you lot.
And I’m bloody over the moon with how they turned out, something a little gritty and raw here on PBM, I’d love to hear what you think…
So, anyway I think it’s time to discuss this absolutely EPIC leather jacket situation now don’t you?
SO many of you loved it when I shared a cheeky lil selfie of it on the eve of the show and to be honest, I knew you all would. You’re like me with your love for statement leather, and boy was that statement.
A monochromatic leather patchwork laced in the most bad-ass of silver studs, I honestly felt the coolest I have ever felt before.
The cut and overall shape of the jacket is truly incredible and like nothing else I have in my wardrobe right now. It is somewhat boxy and cropped and is the epitome of the transitional biker that will see us right the way through spring.

I love a good juxtapose, as you all know too well, so I opted to team the eighties inspired biker jacket with a Victoriana style cropped blouse with ruffled neck and sleeve detailing. The top also featured the most beautifully flattering ruching to the waist, so naturally I was rather smug with myself when I saw what H&M Studio were showing down the runway for SS17.
I think it worked out pretty damn well, especially when you involve my favourite Maje jeans and a pop of red in the form of my beloved Loewe Puzzle Bag and red lip combo.
However, to keep the matchy-matchy monochromatic vibes in check, but also to throw in a whole new dimension, I simply had to clash to the nines with Rogue Matilda gingham mules with BLUE FEATHER TRIM… Yeah, you heard me a blue feather trim!

It was a night to remember thats for sure. One I'll be talking about in years to come and one I am truly proud to have attended as a guest of H&M. The collection was beautiful and can be shopped RIGHT NOW which is totally awesome due to the all new "SEE NOW, BUY NOW" runway show.
As well as it being a night to remember I have to say it's an outfit to remember for me also; the styling possibilities that are coming to me for this jacket are out of this world and I can’t wait to share our love affair with you some more… Should I ever bloody get back to Manchester that is.

Hi Megan Thank you for the great post and I love the outfit. I was hoping you might be able to tell me any of the songs you remember playing. I watched the live stream and loved the music played including Grease but was interested in the songs played before Grease played. I wrote to UK H&M but they were not able to help. I thought as you have mentioned the artist you might remember the track names. I would be so grateful. Also I think you contact form might be broken. Have a great day and thanks again for the great post!!
