Happy Valentines Day you lovely lot.
I've never really been one to celebrate it to be honest; until I met George that is (VOM)!
So don't worry, this isn't going to be another Valentines day-dedicated post for you to avoid.
Instead I thought I'd divulge you firstly, with the outfit... Of course; But secondly on some fail-safe, feel-good factors that I've discovered recently. Those things that have helped me through a rather tricky and oh-so painful time of late, the things that have worked to both relax me and cheer me up, so naturally I just had to share them on here with you.
So first up we have today's outfit.
A look that I've worn countless times in recent weeks but a look I've only recently shared with you over on Instagram.
I first conjured this little layered beauty up for a Hello Operator gig.
As you all know by now, George and I love that band, and on the night we both wanted to wear our band tee's to show some support to our friends.
At first I was totally cool with being "THAT" couple with matching band tee, skinny jeans and boots; that was, until I wasn't.
I decided to have some fun and play with some layering and this is the look I came up with.
I absolutely LOVE it and feel all kinds of geek-chic when I rock it, simply mixing up the T-Shirt's and/or my bottom choices depending on how relaxed I want the look to be. This time showing support to my new favourite beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon and showcasing my all-new Gap jeans for the first time.

Geek-chic it is, mostly due to my all new specs.
Aviators have been doing the rounds for some time now and when the dreaded "you need new glasses" time came around I knew that they were the style I wanted to invest in.
I think it's SO important to find a pair of glasses that you actually want to wear and these are JUST them! I feel great when I wear them and receive an abundance of compliments when I do, which is what wearing glasses is all about.
They're a statement for sure, but when you're eyes resemble that of a Mole's, you've got to make sure you feel great in them, and that is exactly what I feel... Despite resembling that of Eddie The Eagle Edwards.

COAT- TOPSHOP, T-SHIRT- PABST BLUE RIBBON, SHIRT- c/o NEXT, GLASSES- c/o GLASSES DIRECT, JEANS- c/o GAP, SHOES- MANGO (old), BAG- c/o CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL CO

And now for some added feel good factor in the form of two movies and one Netflix series!
I've recently been bed bound due to a rather nasty lower back problem so have in-turn watched A LOT of television and seen A LOT of new films.
First up I have to talk about Bob Ross.
I feel like I'm sooooo late to the Bob Ross party but my gosh is he awesome!
George and I love nothing more than cuddling up before bed and falling asleep to the dulcet tones of Bob Ross.
Basically, Chill With Bob Ross is a programme from the 1980's all about painting. With each episode Bob teaches his viewers how to paint a landscape scene and I honestly CANNOT tell you just how relaxing it is.
If you've never heard of this before, please trust me and just give it a go! I know it sounds totally weird, but it's a sure-fired way to make you nod off naturally and my goodness, it'll be the best nights sleep you've had in a while!

Next up we have two films that George and I have watched and LOVED recently.
The first, strangely enough is Eddie The Eagle, the ultimate feel good film with the most poignant of messages... Never give up! This movie is all about Eddie Edwards and his dream of becoming an Olympic Athlete, despite not exactly being athletic in any way, shape or form. The story is all about Eddie's struggles with achieving his dream and making his parents proud; it's a beautiful film that shows how hard work and determination pays off in the end.
I would HIGHLY recommend you give it a watch, particularly if things aren't quite going the way you want them to right now, it may just put things into perspective.

And the final feel-good movie is Hunt For The Wilderpeople; a film about a young boy, Ricky, who has been somewhat disregarded by social services and branded a delinquent despite being so young. He is then put with an all new foster family who really show him what it is to be loved, until tragedy threatens to take everything away and Ricky finds himself on the run in the New Zealand bush with his foster father.
It's a real feel-good comedy-drama that has you rooting for the underdog from the off. Again, another film with a strong message throughout, it's a really great natural movie and a total must see.

So there we go, genius layering ideas and three must watch films, you can thank me later!!
Let me know if you've seen any of them before and if you have any other must-see films or TV shows, I would LOVE to add them to my watch list. Again, Happy Valentines Day... I lav ya long time!

You are right – this is a genius layered look!
I’ve booked a few days off work to have some downtime this week so I will be sure to fit one of these movie suggestions in one morning! 🙂

Oh I love this outfit! I’m always wearing a long sleeve under a tee shirt and it’s never occurred to me to try a shirt instead.
That Hunt For the Wilderpeople sounds proper feel good, I’ll definitely check that out, thanks. If you’ve not seen the Fundamentals of Caring, that’s a film worth seeing, very funny- with Paul Rudd and Craig Roberts.

Always nailing it Megan, I love the layering! I’ve only just got Netflix in full (I know) but watched Stranger Things and Kimmy Schmidt, and really want to watch the Minimalism documentary too..
