So as I mentioned in my last post here, I recently visited New York for 5 days of shopping with some awesome ladies; It was the ultimate girlie shopping trip and we truly had a blast.
The reason for our trip was to visit numerous Simon shopping malls in the surrounding areas of New York to see what bargains were to be had during the January sales and even better... In the January OUTLET sales.
On previous trips to the city I've made the most of exploring independent boutiques and vintage stores within the incredible city of New York, so checking out the shopping malls within NYC was something new and exciting for me indeed.
Simon Malls are situated throughout the US however we visited three of their malls within the surrounding areas of NYC. Each was super easy to get to by cab or by coach, which meant it was the ultimate New York shopping experience, if you fancy more info or to find out where you'll find a Simon Shopping Destination on your next trip to the USA simply visit Simon.com
I SERIOUSLY went to town when it came to spending my hard earned cash which you can see in today's video where I divulge you with some of the awesome bargains that I picked up whilst out there.
However, back to the mall's themselves, I simply have to start with that of Woodbury Common Outlet Mall as for me, this was the ultimate in luxury outlet shopping and to be perfectly honest, my fave of the three malls.
Woodbury is a beautiful outdoor shopping mall with a real ski resort feel to it, there was something oh so magical and festive about the wooden store fronts with snow scattered across the rooftops.
If designer and luxury brands are your bag then you won't want to miss this shopping destination; with an impressive plethora of designer brands to offer from the likes of Gucci, Fendi, Acne Studios, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Balenciaga, Valentino, Paul Smith plus many, many more and high end high street faves such as Maje, Sandro, AG Jeans and Levi's, I was in ultimate shopping heaven to say the least.

What I really loved about Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Mall was how each and every store was decked out in a way that was true to the brand. It didn't feel like we were shopping on the cheap, with each store visually merchandised to perfection with the shop fittings being reminiscent to their flagships and other full priced stores in city centres alike. For example, Acne Studios had the whole minimalistic Scandi vibe down to a T, whilst the likes of Sandro and Maje championed the boutique look that they're so well known for.
It was a really pleasant shopping experience indeed, with super helpful and totally friendly shop assistants throughout which made the whole experience one to remember.
When it comes to getting to Woodbury it simply could not be easier; taking a Short Line coach from Port Authority which is situated just a 10 minute walk from Times Square, so super handy indeed! It is then just a short 45 minute drive to the outlet mall of dreams.
With 250 designer stores offering up to 65% off original prices I would highly recommend visiting should you be lucky enough to visit New York City, I know that I'll be back on my next visit, there is no doubt about that.

Next up we have Roosevelt Field Shopping Mall, now this place wasn't an outlet mall but visiting in January meant that tonnes of bargains were still to be had.
With over 270 stores varying from the likes of Coach, Chanel, Neiman Marcus (the only one in the whole of NY) and Kate Spade to those of Forever 21, NYX, Free People and JC Penny, there really is something for everyone on every budget.
What struck me the most about Roosevelt, and something I mentioned in my NYC vlog, was how bright and airy the mall was. Having recently undergone a 3 year renovation the Roosevelt Field Mall is truly beautiful and provides the perfect shopping destination. It truly felt as though we were shopping outdoors due to the lashings of natural light that piled through the glass roof of the mall.
The Roosevelt Field Mall is situated in Long Island so just a 40 minute train from the centre of New York, which it's 22million visitors a year show is pretty handy indeed.
It's a really modern centre and totally reminds me of contemporary shopping centres such as Liverpool 1 that we have over here in the UK, Roosevelt Field also champions a healthy lifestyle with THE healthiest and most varied food court I have ever seen... FOR REALS!

So there's a little overview of the wonderful Simon Shopping Mall's within NYC, however if you're flying from Newark airport you might want to check out The Mills at Jersey Gardens Centre too which also offers up to 70% off full priced items and houses a huge combination of high street and designer stores. Again it's super easy to get to by coach from Port Authority and even has an airport shuttle to Newark, making it the perfect place to kill some time before your flight.
I really hope you enjoyed hearing about these awesome Simon shopping centres and of course seeing what I wore to do some serious spendy damage! If you wanna see the kind of bargains on offer at each of these outlet malls and the things I bagged, do check out today's NYC Haul video here... Trust me, it's a gooden!
