Oh how delightfully autumnal these shots are.
Sophie captured such a beautiful and typically British Autumnal afternoon a few weeks back when we spent the afternoon exploring Manchester's Northern Quarter and catching up over coffee and cake... Just perfection!
Autumnal they may be, but since temperatures here in the UK dropped to the minus' just yesterday I think it's safe to say that winter is undoubtedly with us.
It makes me so sad that Autumn is what I think to be the most beautiful of seasons here in the UK; however, it is that of the shortest of seasons with just a month or two of crisp sunny mornings and crunchy leaves before the gail force winds, relentless rain and inevitable snow days blanket us once again for what will feel like the longest winter in history!
Clearly, on this oh-so autumnal day out, I chose to emulate that of autumn with an ever so clashing red and yellow get-up.
I remember putting this look together that day and truly loving it as soon as I looked back at myself in the mirror, however, this is SOME clash indeed, even at my standards.

I honestly have no idea what I was thinking when I decided to put this look together.
I knew I had three pieces that I was DYING to wear; That of the Velvet Urban Outfitters Shirt, Yellow Sister Jane Flared Trousers and the LK Bennet Cross Body Bag with Limited Edition Boyarde Initial Stickers, so I guess that was my logic after all; simply throw them all together... Patience has never been my strong point shall we say.
But some way and some how this look surprisingly works.
I think it's how the stickers from the bag works to pull the red and yellow tones together, and of course the black boots and shirt tone it down a notch or two to make it a somewhat seventies rock & roll "I'm With The Band" kinda vibe.
Anyway, I felt great all the same, made even better by blending in with my autumnal surroundings.

I agree, Autumn always feels so shortlived and yet, it really is beautiful. I’d love to go to Boston and see all the leaves during Fall! I love this outfit too.

I agree with you, autumn always feels really short; however, since winter is my favorite season, I’m not sad at all about that 🙂
