Happy Sunday you lot.
I thought today I'd share with you another little Manchester gem of mine as it's been some time now since I last shared a Mancunian secret.
I know not all of you live nor visit Manchester, however sometimes it's nice to share some pretty images just for the heck of it and you never know when you might find yourself in the wonderful city of Manchester (If you do, make sure you let me know for all the recs)
It's becoming quite the weekend ritual to hit up our nearest flower market stall and to drench our Manchester centric flat with the most beautiful of seasonal flowers and plants.
For this we always without fail head to Flourish, a stand that started on Saint Annes Square and a stand that I have visited for as long as I can remember, even back when I was still at my parents house... Old habits die hard, or so they say.
Flourish now has an additional stand much closer to our home on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter and it's so great to see such a Manchester gem doing oh so well indeed.

To me there is nothing more wonderful and nothing more grown up might I add than heading out specifically to buy flowers. Literring my home with the most beautiful of flowers is something that brings me great pride, to step back and view my home in bloom is most definitley one of those small things in life and never ever fails to cheer me up.
Flourish has been our go-to since we moved back to Manchester last November (where the heck has that gone) and with each and every visit we are always surprised with the beauty that is on offer.
Flourish select the most beautiful seasonal flowers around, I simply love heading down there to see what new and unexpected blooms they have in stock. In the summer the stand is laced with the most stunning of Sunflowers, Peonies and Lillies whereas in Autumn they bring out my favourite Thistles and Amaryllis which is what I personally love to grace our home with.

The team at Flourish are a truly awesome bunch (pun intended), with each member of staff being oh so lovely and helpful with a knowledge like no other. They offer each customer advice on how to care for their choice of plants which is something I find to be priceless when purchasing what can be an expensive piece of greenery for the home.
I love stopping by to take in the succulents and cacti and being inundated with tips and tricks for making the most of them. Succulents and Cacti can be the easiest of plants to look after, however after a few failed attempts (RIP) I was taught some direction on where to house them and how to care for them on a monthly basis and since then my little green babies have never looked better.
Tip 1: Water or Mist just ONCE a month
Tip 2: Think the desert; cacti and succulents need warm dry areas... Bathrooms are not the one for our prickly little friends, trust me I learnt that the hard way.

So there we have it a beautiful little Manchester Gem for you, I do hope you enjoyed this post and I'd love to hear about flower stands in your area too. If you happen to want any further Manchester recommendations then be sure to check out the Manchester tab above for restaurants, cafes and more.

HEY! I absoLUTLEY love this little spot in Manchester and plan on buying one of the bigger cactus for my boyfriend’s birthday. We have mini ones at the moment which have dried up and seem to have gone a bit rotten (oops) These pictures are lovely!
Lots of love!
