Summer has been and almost gone *sighs* and oh what a summer it has been.
With somewhat debatable weather at times, I've been suitably impressed and rather happy with what summer has brought with it both weather wise, I mean we have been relatively lucky on the ole sunshine front and, of course summer fun wise.
With holidays, trips to the beach, afternoon's spent pint in hand with good friends and of course festivals, summer has been rather good to me indeed.
Speaking of festival's I've just got back from Leeds Festival and oh what a weekend it was, see what we got up to and of course what I wore whilst at the festival here; I've also been lucky enough to attend Isle of Wight festival at the very beginning of the summer season with a small day trip to Derbyshire for Y Not festival, both of which were totally awesome for very different reasons.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the new bands on my radar. Bands I've been playing on repeat for the past few months, bands I've been introduced to thanks to festival season and bands that should also be on your radar for big and beautiful things are on the horizon for them.
First up we have Hello Operator... Of course.
I've been a fan of Hello Operator for around a year now and have seen the awesome five piece go from strength to strength since. Having been championed on Radio 1 by the likes of Annie Mac and Huw Stephens and with Radio X giving the boys lots of love, theres going to be a lotta lotta success coming their way very, very soon.
With their two singles Stephanie and Operator Hour and an EP to come, I highly suggest you get on these boys if you're into rock & roll with dirty guitar riffs and plenty of sex.
Next we have Cabbage.
A Mancunian band and quite frankly the best live act I've seen in some time now.
Having watched these guys live three times this summer each and every time they get that little bit better.
Fighting, dancing and climbing all over the stage set up, these guys are one to watch, with tracks such as Dinner Lady and Kevin from their debut EP Le Chou, they totally capture the energy of all Mancunian bands before them.
And finally we have Cupids.
Another band based in Manchester, Cupids have a loyal following like no other unsigned band I've seen before.
With tracks such as Kickin' In, Good Things Come to Those Who Wait and Cover In a Storm it's really rather hard to pigeon hole this band. With indie rock & roll riffs combined with beautiful heartfelt ballads there really is nothing this band can't do.

So there we have three bands that you should get on before summer comes to an end. There's nothing quite like festival season for revealing new music, new bands and new acts to fill your Spotify playlists with. Music is just one of the things that I love oh so much about summer and when it's combined with travelling to new parts of the UK and the world alike to discover said bands, well, thats just a combination like no other.
YOU my friends could be discovering bands of your own thanks to footwear brand Teva. Simply share an image of your original summer moment using the hashtag #ORIGINALSUMMER and you could be in with the chance of winning a road trip around the US for two! Exciting EH!?
Teva are the ultimate summer footwear brand, mine, the TEVA float Sandals were perfect throughout festival season but to be perfectly honest I'm obsessed with the entire collection (see how I styled them last time here).
I really hope you enjoyed this post, hearing a little bit about my summer, the bands I've discovered and of course the most exciting competition ever... Good Luck!
