WHY HELLO THERE STRANGERS!
I'm back from what was the most incredible week away EVER!
Santorini is breathtakingly beautiful with some seriously fun things to do, see, to drink and eat and I'll be sharing everything we did whilst out there in a rather hefty travel guide coming up soon... Stay tuned folks.
But for now, I thought I'd share a little holiday-outfit-spo with the looks I rocked for both day and for night throughout our week in the most beautiful island in the world.
My ethos this holiday was RELAX RELAX & RELAX SOME MORE, I didn't take on any jobs, despite knowing what an incredible backdrop Santorini would make for my outfits, instead opting for complete and utter shut down mode, out of office on, laptop shut and zen ON!
With that I decided that I wasn't going to splash out on a whole new holiday wardrobe, instead selecting pieces from my current wardrobe, those worn-once-and-dismissed-again pieces I'd picked up this season and styling them in different ways to make them totes holiday appropz.
This meant that some loved pieces got some much needed air time, whilst also providing me with a no brainer and stress free time leading up to my holiday with little money spent and zero time trawling the high street.

The only thing my wardrobe was lacking in, which I mentioned in my latest haul video here, was day-wear. Swimsuits, bikini's and cover-ups were few and far between in my holiday-drobe so places like Zalando, Boohoo and ASOS all came up trumps when lending a hand with my beach attire.
This star print swimsuit by Tommy Hillfiger from Zalando was a particular highlight! You know me and my love for star print so this was the ultimate in beachwear. Seriously flattering AND trend-lead... Hello neighbour!
The two outfits below feature pieces I bagged in the summer sale at Zara, the striped dress and cherry print shorts are two pieces I have seriously enjoyed wearing both here at home and on holiday. Getting my wear out of clothes is something I am TERRIBLE at so being able to wear these two rather standout pieces more than once this summer is something rather special indeed, I'm patting myself on the back as we speak.

Oh swimwear, oh bladdy pain-in-the-arse swimwear.
The thing I dread more than any other shopping related task is shopping for swimwear!
I'm a size 8 from top to bottom usually but when it comes to swimwear, I just never know what the heck to go for in the size department.
My nunga's are rather petite shall we say, whilst my bum is prevalent and my waist something of a child, so size wise I tend to size down up top and size up down below.
Usually I'm a bandeau bikini kinda gal but this year I made a vow to myself to try out other styles, to be comfortable and confident on the beach rather than sucking in my stomach and praying my ribs don't give the game away, you get me.
SO this time I opted for a number of swimsuits and high waisted bikini's which had me feeling like the ultimate pin-up... No srsly I felt great. My tummy and hips were tucked away and my confidence soared... Honestly girls, forget the tan lines, it's all about feeling good and having fun and my little highwaisters/all-in-oners were just the ones to tick both of those boxes.
Boohoo have taken the trophy for most awesome high waisted bikini selection, with the likes of Zalando providing me with my dream Solid & Striped two piece and Figleaves for the most flattering swimsuit ever... That stripe and floral print clash though!

This little playsuit was a complete lifesaver whilst away, it was such an easy piece to just throw on over a bikini for mornings spent exploring Oia and Fira. It was nice to throw on some accessories such as the choker from Rock N Rose and some sunglasses by Miu Miu to feel a little more put together when really I was desperate to throw myself into the ocean... Man was it hot.
For the beautiful evenings spent in Santorini I styled my used and abused, abandoned summer pieces in new and fresh ways.
Plagiarizing my own look from last years trip to Italy with my extreme ruffled top from Boohoo, this time ditching the denim and of course throwing in some star print. These shorts were another holiday fave as they were built for multiple wears for both day and night.
Basics such as the good ole black body were champions for this trip away, being the ultimate styling piece to rock with more in-yo-face items such as the cherry shorts and the bad ass striped flared trews.
However, new items did make their way into my holiday wardrobe with this beautiful orange tribal halter neck smock dress (WOAH mouthful) by Vero Moda at Zalando. It was the perfect piece to quickly throw on after losing track of time down by the beach and hurrying to Oia to catch the sunset. Totally flowy and relaxed but when teamed with my FAVE sandals EVER by See By Chloe, it really worked to be something a little more fancy, even with helmet hair, but more on that in my travel guide...

I wasn't going to mention this initially but I loved this outfit oh so much that I though why the heck not.
This is in fact the look I adorned to travel home in; with some, you guessed it, star print cut-offs, converse and a slogan tee, I mean it wouldn't be a week in outfits without those four Megan must haves, Stars, Denim, Converse and Slogans.
This T-shirt is by Mother Denim and is for a fantastic cause. It is a gender neutral tee that both George and I have and love, championing equal rights and the celebration of our differences, something I truly, truly believe in and something I totally wanted to get on board with.
Not only does it share a great message, but it's also a really bloody cool T-shirt that was a welcomed treat when emotionally saying goodbye to Santorini.

So there we have it, one week and multiple outfits constructed of old, new, surprising and not so surprising pieces. This year's holiday meant a lot to me, not only was it my first holiday with my boyfriend George but it was my first switch my emails off and not even want to look at them FOR A WHOLE WEEK break, and let me tell you... It was needed!
I really hope you liked this little round up post and I would LOVE to hear which is your fave look. I've also created a little lookbook video with a mini vlog which you can have a peek at below and please do feel free to leave your blog links as I am SO keen to find some new faves to add to my roll.
Thanks once again for being so great, the comments in my last post about having some much needed time out were so incredible and really urged me on to not stress and to just relax once and for all. You're all the most incredibly supportive readers ever and I simply cannot thank you enough for that.
Lots of Love and heres to a new and refreshed Megan and PagesByMegan, stay tuned for a gorgeous travel guide to Santorini and lots of new and exciting collaborations and reads.

Sometimes when you go away….it’s good to shut away from everything completely. I can’t understand when people go away they are still facebooking, twittering etc….you know they still will be there in a week or so time!
