Hello from Covent Garden, one of my favourite places in London and my favourite shopping destination in the capital.
When I lived in London, Covent Garden was my favourite place to spend a day shopping as you had the best of all worlds, whether it was high street stores, designer flagships or independent boutiques, Covent Garden has it all, making it the ultimate hit for fashion lovers alike.
Even now I don't live in London, and even with the luxury of popping in and out throughout the month, Covent Garden is my first port of call each and every time.
Rather handily situated a seriously short walk away from Leicester Square, which dontcha know is on the Northern Line and just THREE stops away from Euston on the tube, making it all the more handy for me to get my shopping fix on my flying visits to London.
So, on a recent trip to London with George, we took the opportunity to shoot around my beloved Covent Garden; a place that houses' so many great childhood memories for me. Memories of girlie shopping sprees with my mother and sister, exploring, eating and twirling our way through the Piazza, feeling like a million dollars having bagged "the look"; So the place is really rather nostalgic for me indeed.
Our trip took place on a Thursday which meant we were able to shop until 9pm... RESULT! Covent Garden are upping their hours and keeping the doors of many stores within the area open until 9pm throughout July, which means maximum shopping and maximum time to find the perfect beach-to-bar get up or alternative wedding guest ensemble... Stress free shopping, I like it!

Not only can you shop up until 9pm, but each Thursday Covent Garden are throwing in some extra treats for us shoppers.
Whether it's fashion, beauty, live music or food that floats your boat, each Thursday there is something special for everyone.
Tomorrow is the first of the events, with a fun-filled beauty extravaganza. Visit London's best selfie spot with 32,000sqft of mirrors that have transformed Covent garden's Market Building, trust me, I've seen it and boy is it "Instagrammable"
Also on offer are makeovers by Urban Decay, dress up boxes and portrait sessions with renowned fashion photographers and bloggers alike.
With a live music event the following week (14th July), Menswear street styling sessions on 21st July and an Instagram exhibition the week after (28th) all rounded off with a food festival each Thursday with delicious offerings from Frenchie, Balthazar and LIMA Floral and the cherry on top of the Covent Garden cake... a Portobello Road Gin Bar each and every Thursday throughout July... And trust me, as a Gin connoisseur, Portobello Road Gin is not one to miss.

So with fashion, beauty and foodie events taking place throughout July, and of course the awesome late night shopping extravaganza, I thought I'd share with you some of my fave looks to date, all of which I found in Covent Garden.
From the top we've got casual sports-meets-sass ensembles from Karen Millen teamed with badass gold loafers by Kurt Geiger (Gucci eat yo' heart out) and the most retro pop of colour with Dolce & Gabana at Sunglasses Hut shades. This look proved to be the most perfect of outfits for getting my shop on!
Hey, did you hear that? The seventies called, they want their dress back... DREAM SUEDE DRESS ALERT!
Karen Millen have knocked it out of the park once again with this figure flattering midi dress which I must say, is a match made in heaven for these contrasting heeled boots by KG.
Taking things up a notch for an evening of cocktails (gin of course) in London's most stylish shopping spot I opted for a short suit from Sandro in the most incredible of jacquard fabrics. Such a classic piece that can be dressed both up and down and worn for all kinds of occasions, here adding some much desired colour with a printed blouse, once again from Sandro and topped off with the most killer of mules from Kurt Geiger.

I really hope you enjoyed this post, I'd love to hear which is your favourite look and if you will be heading to Covent Garden to take advantage of their late night shopping this July. I'll be there tomorrow, getting my selfie on of course... But you can also find me at the Gin bar 😉
