Summer styling is particularly tricky for me, especially as it means that in “theory” I have to leave me beloved ankle boots and biker jackets behind; kept in storage until winter comes back around.
However, that very rarely happens, breaking the rules, throwing caution to the wind and down right rocking my ankle boots whenever the bloody hell I want to.
Black ankle boots work wonderfully when teamed with floating hemlines and floral prints, think festival season and you certainly cannot go wrong. However, this summer I’ve truly spiced up my boot game with an array of statement boots.
My favourites, come in the form of these denim chequered numbers by Buffalo via the wonderful Zalando.
Not your most subtle of footwear that’s for sure, so over the next two weeks I’ll be showing you how to style them in three very different ways to make them totes summer appropz.
Zalando have the most incredible array of brands in their repertoire, a selection that dare I say, is even better than that of ASOS! I mean it, I’ve learnt about some truly awesome brands thanks to Zalando; brands I had never heard about previously, and brands that are now well and truly pinned to my radar.
Take this dress for example, it is the epitome of THE summer dress. Bold prints, clashing colours, a floaty hem-line and a low neck… Yes, all of the yes’.
Said dress is by a the brand Minueto and since discovering them on Zalando I have been completely smitten.
Their print selection is second-to-none and their silhouettes reminiscent of all of the best eras, and by “best” I of course mean the sixties.
So that’s my ways to wear off to a flying start! Combining prints, clashing colours and the ultimate summer dress and boot combo! Ensure you stay tuned for the next instalment up soon.
