HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU UTTER BABE STATIONS!
I honestly cannot believe that it is that time of year (again) where we reflect on the happenings of the past 12 months and start to work out what we want to do, change, see and be for the following 12 months ahead.
This year has been a complete rollercoaster… For all the right reasons of course. It’s years like this, that really map out who we are and who we are going to be, giving us reasons to look at ourselves and our lives and make a change.
My start to 2015 was a little rocky, highly emotional and something just had to give (see this post to see what I’m talking about) I made a change, a change that had a huge and incredible impact on the rest of the year, with the middle of the year providing incredible opportunities to travel, to make new friends whilst confirming old friends and also finding true love.
2015 has probably been the year where I have learnt the most about myself; what I want, where I want to be and who I want to do it all with.
I’ve learnt that you should never put your happiness on hold for somebody else. That if you’re not happy with something or someone, then to change it… It’s as simple as that. Whether it be work, friends or love, you just gotta do something about it.
And that is exactly what I did this year with both my work life AND my love life, and now I honestly could not be happier with both my work and love life having never been better.
Along with learning a lot about happiness, I’ve also learnt how strong I am; how independent, outgoing and driven I am, which I’ve never really known before.
This year alone I have travelled to six different countries, lost love, found true love, featured in Grazia Magazine for four consecutive weeks, featured in two national television adverts with Schwarzkopf, and found true friendship with some seriously awesome girlies!
I write this down, not to brag or to show off, but to reflect, look back and prove to myself that I am actually doing alright.
As someone who has had very low confidence, self esteem and huge insecurities for the majority of my life it’s nice to finally feel that I am doing okay.
It’s nice to feel complete and that things are going to work out, whatever happens, it’s all in my hands.
So as the diary for 2016 slowly starts to fill up and with a new home, in a new location (Manchester to be precise HUZZAH) I honestly can’t tell you how happy and how truly excited I am to see where 2016 takes me and the people I love.
Happy New Year you lovely lot, I could not have done any of this without all your support, so thank you for EVERYTHING you utter babes.
