So, its officially Autumn, the leaves have dropped, the wind has picked up and it’s bloody raining every single day; but with all that said, I do love this time of year and the trends that come with it. As a self confessed trend obsessive I thought I’d break down 4 of this seasons key trends for you guys, and share some of the videos I created at ASOS HQ with some blogging babes, along with my top picks for each trend. I really hope you find this useful and apologies now for the impending battering your credit cards are about to get. |

Eighties Maximilism
First up we have the party season trend, a full on, OTT kinda trend and one that I personally will be taking full advantage of as soon as December hits.
Think lurex, faux fur, embellishments and a heck load of layering and you’ve got this one covered. Get creative and layer lurex halter necks, with faux fur jackets and collars and throw in a suede court shoe and embellished clutch to seal the deal.
Check out the below video with the wonderful Shope from Sassy Black for some designer and cool girl eye candy.

Star Print Plunge Dress- ASOS, Rucksack- House of Hackney x Eastpak, Floral Top- Topshop, Bib Front Dress- ASOS, Boos- ASOS, Suede Boxy Shirt- Topshop, Faux Fur Coat- Urbancode |
Next up we have one of my fave trends of the season… The Seventies! As we all know the seventies revival has been huge for a few seasons now, but AW15 sees it take on a more grown up feel. Think bohemian style dresses, coloured suede and chunky platform boots in deep shades of ocre, rust and navy to be the ultimate seventies sass pot.
I’m personally digging on the ultimate collarless jewel toned faux fur coat above, teamed with the red floral bib front dress… YES PURLEASE!
Hannah from A Fashion Fix and I break down the Seventies All Grown Up trend further in the video below.

Leopard Dress- Topshop, Velvet Brogues- Topshop, Blue Blouse- Topshop, Metallic Skirt- Story of Lola, Checked Coat- ASOS, Pom Bag Charm- Topshop, Novelty Clutch Bag- Skinny Dip London, Velvet Boots- ASOS, Satin High Neck Top- Weekday |
Ahhh the sixites, HURRAH they’re sticking around yet again for another wonderful season. My ultimate style decade through and through but this time with a sci fi edge. A line mini skirts have taken a metallic twist, polo necks have gone all lurex and colour palettes are totally inspired by Wes Anderson films… Pretty marvy dontcha reckon?
For more deets on how to get the Sixites meets Sci Fi look check out the video below with me and Hannah from Too Much Is Not Enough.

Chainmail Knit- Topshop, Studded Boots- ASOS, Beret- ASOS, Leather Look Trousers- Topshop, Parka- Topshop, Embellished Camo Clutch Bag- ASOS, Leather Look Dress- Warehouse, Studded Belt- Warehouse |
And finally we have the latest bad ass trend on the block, Girl Army. Dust off your old parka and last years biker boots and combine them with camo prints, studds and a heck load of leather to ace the trend.
I’m all about oversized camo jackets teamed with leather trousers and wool berets for the ultimate texture filled winter get up.
Once again, check out the video below to create your own Girl Army with me and Bee from I Dress Myself.
