A few weeks back now, myself and my gorgeous little sister headed down to Canary Wharf to dine at Tom’s Kitchen, a restaurant I’d heard an awful lot about through fellow bloggers and Instagrammers a like.
Once we eventually found the place (City Mapper doesn’t deal well with high-rise areas) we were greeted by the sweetest of welcomes and taken to our table in the very simple, laidback yet seriously Pinterest-worthy, open plan restaurant.
We started our meal with a delicious cocktail each: I opted, as usual, for a gin based cocktail and Faye a mango Mojito, both of which did not disappoint after a busy day at work.
Cocktails were quickly followed by my favourite part of any meal… The Starters. I chose the Hand Dived Scallops with Smoked Aubergine Puree and Black Beans, which were absolutely sensational, one of those dishes that you just don’t want to end. Whilst Faye opted for the Chicken Liver Pate with Chutney and Brioche, which, I obviously tried and was seriously smooth and DELICIOUS.
For our mains, Faye opted for the Chicken Shnitzel and I the Steak with peppercorn sauce. We then of course shared some sides of fries, creamed spinach and OBVIOUSLY the Truffle Mac n Cheese which was out of this world amazing!
The whole vibe at Tom’s Kitchen is second to none and the food divine, I will be back indeed!
