Hello all, I hope you had a great weekend, mine was spent shopping, partying with the girls and watching live feeds of London fashion week whilst feeling slightly worse for wear!
As an avid House of Holland fan I was super eager to see what Henry had to showcase this season, in between crying that I wasn’t there to assist this year I snuggled up with my mama as we panicked over the House of Holland website crashing!!! ARGHHHH
Luckily the LFW twitter feed posted an alternative website which had absolutely no problems with the high demand of internet traffic, RESULT!
I have to be honest here, and as you all know I have worked at House of Holland and have followed and loved HoH since the very beginning, but I can’t help but feel slightly let down by this season’s collection. I was very excited initially, once eyeing up the tortoise shell cassette player invite, learning it was called “Nanna Rave” and seeing the amazing retro carpet runway being tweeted left right and centre, I honestly had high hopes!
However, It just didn’t do it for me as much as previous seasons, usually I am left speechless, quickly racking up which pieces I am going to purchase, but unfortunately this can not be said this season.
However, there were some brilliant looks dotted around, particularly the first section of the show with the signature House of Holland take on prints, I love the psychedelic swirls in the bright hues, contrasted with coloured PVC, very nice.
Following those 60’s inspired looks came tailoring in super cute martini glass prints with jeweled embellishments and tortoise shell detailing, all in all a very different look for Henry.
House of Holland is growing up and it’s something I’m going to have to deal with ๐ sob sob, weep weep. What do you think?
x M
