Hello and welcome to a blogpost that I should have done a million years ago.
Music is a huge part of my life as you know, so much so I would say it is on a level with how much fashion means to me, a life without music aint no life for me!
I've been the owner of a very eclectic music taste for many years, mainly thanks to my Pops. He's always submerged my sister and I in a variety of music and so I feel we both have a lot to thank him for. He's always championed the mantra "There's only one musical genre. Music you like and music you don't like" and I couldn't agree with him more. As you'll see from this playlist it's an amalgamation of all musical "genres" each a song that has meant something to me over the past three years since I started creating this playlist.
It's a playlist I started three years ago when I added the Spotify feature to my blog, something nobody else was doing at the time. I'd write the blog post and depending on what the post was about or simply how I was feeling that day I'd think of a song to accompany said post. I liked to think that some of you were reading my posts with the sound on and that was really lovely for me.
Three years later and the playlist is full of the most weird and wonderful tunes, a real representation of me and something I'm excited to share with you all.
Whether I was talking about the up's and down's of life which OBVZ meant that Ronan Keating's "Life Is a Rollercoaster" was selected or whether I was just totally obsessing over Queen (likely) so my fave Queen tune "Keep Yourself Alive" accompanied the post, it's an interesting old playlist and pretty much the soundtrack to the past three years of my life.
I'll be sharing playlists such as this (perhaps not so large) every month going forward which I'm REALLY excited about and I hope you are too so do make sure you're following me over on Spotify for all the bangers!
Huge thanks to Poppy Deyes for the inspiration behind this post and the whole writing and scanning of some of the tracks within the list, what a clever cookie you are.
Let me know your thoughts.
