Hello you bloody wonderful bunch, it’s been a while hasn’t it!
You probably haven’t even noticed but my gosh do I feel bad when I’ve gone a whole week without posting anything.
But in all honesty I had no imagery to share as admittedly I was a little behind with shooting due to all things Saturday by Megan Ellaby, my all new clothing line for those that didn’t know!
I also spent the last week in America on a trip of a life time with Proenza Schouler where I was lucky enough to visit both LA and Arizona for the first time! It was a totally incredible week away, one of which I’ll be sharing more of very very soon.
But, until then, I thought I would check in and basically gush about how fabulous I think you all are.
The support you have given me with my new venture is out of this world amazing, I truly don’t know how to thank you all enough! Seeing your excitement for my new clothing line, quite literally watching your orders coming in and then crying tears of joy when I get tagged in photos of you girls wearing my designs, well, it’s all just too much to handle!
We sold out of the Pink Star Arm knit in just over an hour which is pretty mind blowing to say the least! Followed by the Pop of Colour knit selling out just three days later. The Rainbow knit has very limited numbers left in a size large too, so I think (?) I can safely call this first drop a success!? To hell with it, I think it’s a success, I’m proud of my designs and thrilled to bits that you’re loving them too!
I’m working really hard on getting some new designs out before Christmas (PLEASE LORD!) And we’re desperately trying to do a restock of your faves too as I know you’ve been requesting that quite heavily since our Star Arm knit flew off the virtual shelves, so please bear with whilst we try our hardest to arrange something 🙂
Naturally I've been rocking each knit at any opportunity I can and here I am wearing the Well Good knit. Made from 100% merino wool it's incredibly soft and will last and last if you take good care of it. Whilst they're all super wearable I would say the Well Good style is one of the more versatile pieces with it's delicious burnt orange shade lending itself perfectly to ample styling opportunities. Teamed here with triple leather, a touch of snake print and fish nets for the perfect mild autumn day out, which just so happened to be on a Saturday.
Whilst I’m here with the thank you’s I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the Saturday dream team too, those who have worked so hard alongside myself to bring my dreams to reality, you all know who you are! Special thanks to Cat from Gatto for the insane branding and packaging for Saturday, to Rosie for shooting the first Saturday campaign and helping me get to grips with shooting for e-commerce! And to team Yeti for being so great and for collaborating with me again to share a look book on how to style your Saturday knits along with all the awesome teasers you saw on my Instagram stories. And finally to Zara and Sophie, I don’t know what I’d bloody do without you both <3
So that really is it from me today, just a quick one to check in and to say a whole lotta thank you’s! Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for all your support on Saturday. It’s all very new, very exciting and down right terrifying and I can’t quite believe that I officially have my own clothing line after years of dreaming about it and a whole year of silently working on it.
Thanks again to everyone who has bought a piece and thanks to everyone for bearing with us with any teething problems we may have had, you’re all bloody ace!
Please do keep tagging @saturday_bymeganellaby in any outfit snaps of you rocking your knits and if there’s anything in particular that you’d like to see in future drops then please do let me know.
Lotsa love and thank you… Again!
